The next time it met humans was in a secluded village off the coast of Russia. There were more than fifty men, women, and children living in that area, but the beast did not care to count them. It was still hungry, and although it was curious about humans and what they were, it didn't feel the need to ask questions until it had its fill. The beast eradicated the village from the map without a single survivor left behind, and in the midst of the carnage, it realized what it was that the humans called it. The beast now knew that it was an 'anima.'
Now that the beast was filled, its curiosity for humans was once more active, and it went into the next town in a more careful manner. The beast didn't want to announce its presence because it knew that humans were terrified of it! It was a natural predator to humans, so they would attack or run first before it could even talk to them.
I'd like to remind eveyrone that the description of humanity given here is from the perspective of an intelligent beast that is slowly learning of human nature through people trapped in a secluded dictatorship. It is not a general descrition, but rather an observation of how human in such an unfavourable and inescapable position would sometimes act.
It in no way describes what people in a more civil and democratic environment would behave like. Althgouht there are times that peole still behave similarly even when put in a more civil environment. When we really observe human nature, it's easy to see that we are the most monstrous creatures in existence.
And on that note, I'm sure most peole already figured out who this beast it. And if you haven't, then you're in for a surprise.
Hope you enjoyed the chapters.
