Joan ignored Gilles and stretched her hand out to Mark.
"I wish for you to join me. Help me in my fight against the gods and I will grant you all the wishes you could ever want. Together, let us bring forth a new age—the age of mortals."
Her outstretched hand beckoned to Mark invitingly, but from the way Mark was looking down at her like she was nothing but trash, Joan could tell what would come out of his mouth even before he spoke.
"Are you a fool?"
Joan's eyes narrowed in anger and she dropped her hand as she heard Mark talk. She did not bother to say anything as Mark continued.
"You want to fight against the gods? Do you have any idea what it means for you to do something like that? Do you know how powerful the gods are? Do you think overthrowing the gods is something you can plan and achieve just because of that?

Legioneer_1000 My sister's exams are about to start, so she's going full hermit mode as she focuses on reading as much as possible. She's always locking herself in her room or going to the library close to the house. It's pretty lonely at home without her here to annoy me, so sometimes, I go to the library with her and cheer for her while she's reading. She pretends like it annoys her, but I can tell she likes it. Damn tsundere.
