บท 254: Accept the Deal or Accept Death

Loud noises echoed throughout the cave as if the earth was unleashing its wrath. Even the group of people keeping watch in front of the cave entrance could feel the cave trembling. The roars of a beast could be heard, scaring many of them to the point that their legs were trembling. And the power of the mage who was fighting this beast too; this mage was more powerful than all of them combined. This battle was already way beyond their imagination.

In the end, the fear of death triumphed over responsibilities. It was unclear who took the first step away from the cave, but when they started doing so, no one else uttered a word of disapproval. Several others started following them with shaky legs. And when they heard the furious roar of the beast again, their legs seemed to gain a hidden strength. It took them but a moment to run far away. There were only a few people who still kept their distance and watched from the entrance of the cave.
