บท 70: I'm Not Stupid

"Gorgeous," my cousin said from the door, drawing our attention. 

"I'm surprised you aren't with the groom," Riley teased. 

Behind Lex, I could see Cassandra shrinking, but the look in her eyes told me a different story. She was jealous. 

I wanted to laugh and tell her how unreasonable her fears were, but I wouldn't embarrass her like that. 

"I was, I came to collect some things and decided to see my cousin," he said, smiling at me. "Can I have a few minutes?"

"Sure," I said, nodding to the girls to leave. "Take care of my cousin's new girlfriend for a bit, give her a tour."

I gave Cassandra a wink and she looked at me in shock.

"Ooooh, Lex is in love," Jade teased as she and Riley hooked their arms around Cassandra's and dragged her away.

I chuckled as Lex cringed and eyed my friends warily. He was right to be worried.
