Lokus callously shrugged off the demon's anger as his eyes landed on the amulet, silencing the demon with a thought.

Or at least, he tried to. If anything, the growls grew louder, like a small earthquake localized entirely within his mind.

Annoyed, Lokus checked Ibmund's status in hopes it would shed some light on this matter.

Perhaps he should have expected that this untrustworthy system wouldn't be helpful. He did, however, note that Ibmund's classification had completely changed, and its condition status had vanished, replaced with a method of improvement.

When Ibmund's growls grew louder, he decided to risk asking his system a question.

'Why won't he obey my commands?' he asked the system.
