The Imperial Capital's Moon Mountain is located between two suburbs, making it difficult to cross over.
This scenic spot is characterized by its complex structure and lengthy caves.
Therefore, the labyrinth game of Moon Mountain is very famous.
As tourists challenge this natural grand labyrinth, they can also take breaks, rest, eat, and sleep at special locations within the caves.
Besides that, Moon Mountain often hosts small treasure-hunting events that are very popular with visitors.
...
Fang Yuan, wearing red and white clothing with an Eevee perched on his shoulder, showed his ticket to the security guard watching over the cave and entered.
He didn't take part in any maze challenges nor did he ask for a map; he also didn't sign up for any treasure-hunting activities; he was purely there to look for the rare Pippi.
The habitat of the Pippi species was deeply hidden within Moon Mountain, typically hard for most visitors to find, but the Pippi often ran out to interact with tourists and even guide them.
If you encountered a kind-hearted Pippi, you might quickly find treasure and navigate through the maze, but if you met a mischievous Pippi, it might waste much more of your time...
After entering the cave, the environment wasn't particularly dark, thanks to the fluorescent rocks on the walls, allowing visibility to be quite clear.
Crunch, crunch, crunch.
As Fang Yuan walked, he munched on the snacks sold outside.
"Bwoo~" Eevee patted Fang Yuan's shoulder, asking him where the Pippi was.
"I don't know, don't rush, let's just let Glutton find it," Fang Yuan said. He himself was somewhat directionally challenged; finding Pokemon was indeed a job for the experts.
He took out a Poké Ball, and Glutton's silhouette immediately appeared in the cave.
Gurgle gurgle~~
Glutton rubbed its hungry belly, yawned sleepily, and looked around, complaining.
"You know the drill, be careful not to get caught," Fang Yuan advised.
Glutton let out a helpless "Oohoo~" and reluctantly bored into the wall next to them, resigned to its fate.
For the Ghost-type Pokémon Gengar, which could freely pass through walls, the secrets of Moon Mountain's caves weren't much of a secret, making it the best candidate for seeking out Pippi.
But Fang Yuan and Eevee didn't plan to sit idle either, they went sightseeing while taking pictures, and contemplated how to coax the Pippi.
Anticipating a stay of at least a week, or possibly a month at Moon Mountain, Fang Yuan and his team were not in a hurry for just this one day; instead of looking for solitary Pippi, finding a way to infiltrate the Pippi community was what they should be doing.
...
"What's that noise?"
After wandering around the cave for half an hour, Fang Yuan and the strolling Eevee suddenly heard a noisy commotion.
From the sounds of it, two Pokemon were engaged in a battle!!
"Let's check it out," Fang Yuan said, glancing at Eevee, which quickly hopped off his shoulder and scurried toward the noise.
A short while later,
A breathless Fang Yuan followed Eevee to the scene of the commotion, a rather spacious area, where two Pokemon were fiercely clashing.
One was a cat-like Pokemon that stood on its hind legs, its red and white fur standing out as it desperately attacked with its paws.
And the other was a long-fanged serpent-like Pokemon with a scythe-shaped tail, generally resembling a dark-colored python.
Boom!!
As it attacked, Zangoose's fur stood on end and its sharp claws viciously slashed across Seviper's body.
However, Seviper's tail, which secretes toxic fluids, didn't lose any strength despite the pain it bore. It fiercely stabbed towards Zangoose, inflicting damage to its enemy as well.
There were no Trainers around these two Pokemon – Fang Yuan and his companions must be the first ones to have arrived.
"What's going on?"
Inside Moon Mountain, there should only be Pippi, so where did Seviper and Zangoose come from?
And looking at this battle formation...it's a fight to the death.
Just as Fang Yuan was considering whether to stop their fight, other tourists arrived after hearing the commotion.
"It's Seviper and Zangoose!!" The ones who came to this spacious area from the cave passage were two female tourists, both around twenty years old.
One of them had black hair tied into a simple ponytail, with her full chest and long legs catching most of the attention. The other was a petite girl with a small melon-seed face and short bobbed hair, speaking in a forthright manner. She was the one talking with her friend at that moment.
The two women were taken aback when they saw Seviper and Zangoose fighting, just as confused about the combat taking place here.
Boom!!
Meanwhile, the battle escalated. Seviper used its tail to fling Zangoose through the air, landing not far from where Fang Yuan stood, then moved quickly, baring its fangs and squirting venom as it slithered in their direction.
The venom hit the ground in front of them, nearly reaching Fang Yuan and his companions.
Fang Yuan glanced at the two tourists who had just arrived and gave Eevee an order.
"Knock them out," Fang Yuan said.
Fighting was not allowed inside Moon Mountain, as was clearly stated in the rules. Although Fang Yuan didn't know what was up with these two Pokemon, it wouldn't be good if they hurt someone now.
"Bwoo!!" Eevee nodded, its brown figure flashed away in an instant, moving incredibly fast. The two Pokemon, blinded by rage, didn't even have a chance to react before feeling their heads spin and passing out.
Eevee had controlled its strength just right; after Quick Attack brought it next to the two creatures, it gently tapped their heads with Iron Tail.
In almost an instant, both Pokemon lay dazed on the ground.
Fang Yuan walked up and saw that both Seviper and Zangoose were seriously injured, with what could be described as mortal wounds.
"..."
He slightly furrowed his brows. What a grudge match... It's said that the memory of fighting its archenemy Seviper is etched into the cells of Zangoose. Seviper has also been struggling against Zangoose for generations, so when these two Pokemon meet, it's almost always a battle to death.
Fang Yuan looked at Seviper's wounds. There were numerous bleeding scratches on its body which, judging by their depth, showed that Zangoose had exerted a lot of force. Similarly, on Zangoose's body, there were many wounds tinged with purple, indicating poisoning.
"Eevee, Heal Bell," Fang Yuan sighed, then ordered.
Eevee nodded immediately, emitting a soft sound. The bell sound transformed into silvery waves, slowly healing the poison within Zangoose's body.
However, although Eevee's Heal Bell could detoxify, it was of no help to the wounds. To prevent further deterioration, the next step would be to contact the staff here.
"Do you need help?" asked the ponytailed beauty, one of the two tourists who had just arrived, as Fang Yuan pondered.
"Yes, please call and get in touch with the staff here for me. We need to treat these two Pokemon as soon as possible," Fang Yuan said.
"Oh," the girl with the ponytail responded calmly, nodding. She looked at her companion, then took out a Poké Ball. To Fang Yuan's surprise, she released a Pokemon.
Chansey.
