บท 4077: Chapter 3185 "Romantic" Wedding Season (End)

The guests once again took their seats, and the bridegrooms and brides sat down in the front row. The podium was removed, and the priest and the person officiating the marriage also took their seats, to be replaced by a huge holographic projection screen, displaying scenes of hot air balloons passing through an illusion.

The scenes playing in the illusion were naturally those set up by Shiller with the help of Dream Power Doctor Strange in the dreams of these couples, where they did not completely remember their real identities but still faced challenges and were attracted to each other.

When Eddie also sat down and started watching the movie, he suddenly realized that Shiller, who was sitting next to him, had disappeared.

At that moment, he had only one thought—something had gone wrong.

Wanda, who had been watching everything with a moved expression, slowly turned her head and whispered to Jarvis, "I'm going to the restroom."

Jarvis nodded to her, and Wanda effortlessly picked up the hem of her heavy dress, stooped slightly, and walked towards the lounge.

Upon reaching the lounge, Wanda saw Shiller's figure next to two baby carriages.

Wanda hurried over to hug one of the boys, then said, "Oh, my little Billy, how are you feeling?"

The boy babbled in response, and when Wanda let go, he immediately floated up, seemingly curious about Wanda's wedding dress, flying around her continuously.

"Okay, okay," Wanda quickly caught him again, stroked his head, and looked at Shiller, "Are you sure you want to do this? I always feel it's a bit..."

"Just as a precautionary measure. Although it can touch Tony, it might not be as impactful for others."

"Fine, I'll explain it to Billy. He's smart, definitely not a problem. To prevent any slip-up, you better go back first."

Shiller nodded at her, went over to stroke Billy's little head, and then left the lounge.

When he sat back down, everyone was wearing a ghost-like expression. Eddie was looking around suspiciously, as if trying to figure out where he had hidden the bomb, while Star Lord was also looking in the direction Shiller had come from, wondering if some creature might appear.

Shiller chuckled to himself. Even if there were a bomb, he wouldn't carry it on himself. They were really underestimating his ability to cause trouble.

The length of the film was a bit long. At first, everyone watched attentively, but after a while, those who were less interested started whispering among themselves.

Stark was engrossed in watching, and when he heard some talking behind him, he felt a bit dissatisfied, but didn't show it.

Suddenly, everyone faintly heard a baby's cry, not very clear, as if coming from far away.

Parents with children hurriedly looked at their own kids, but none were crying. Within a second of the cry ceasing, everyone felt an immense overwhelming sadness.

In an instant, tears uncontrollably surged from their eyes, like a dam bursting forth, covering everything in sight with a hazy halo.

Moved, saddened, nostalgic, wronged...

All the emotions that could provoke tears came rushing at once, and everyone was sobbing uncontrollably.

When they regained their composure, the film screening had ended, and everyone, teary-eyed, went to hug Stark, saying this was the most touching love story they had ever seen.

Stark had also been crying heavily. The surge of emotions that exploded in him at the same time was even more intense than most people, leaving him overwhelmed.

He thought it was probably because he had wanted to cry when the newlyweds entered, but considering the ceremony, he controlled himself. Watching it a second time, these emotions burst forth, making it so intense.

Although some guests didn't find the story that moving, they thought it might have resonated with them, remembering their own sad affairs, which naturally brought them to tears.

People hugged each other and cried, continuously expressing their emotions and blessings. The photographers' cameras perfectly captured these moments, undoubtedly providing more topics for conversation to follow.

As the banquet began, Stark had already recovered. The bridegrooms and brides, as the main figures of the wedding, were surrounded by crowds, holding plates and wine glasses, and making polite small talk with those beside them.

Matt and Erica were more low-key, not many people knew them, and soon Matt approached Shiller with his glass of wine.

"You did it, didn't you?" Matt was certain.

"What?" Shiller feigned ignorance.

"I mean, the crying just now..."

"Your love story really is touching." Shiller wiped the corner of his eye with a handkerchief, "Too touching..."

Matt was speechless, and after taking a sip of his wine, he said, "If you don't confess, next time I'll switch the mustard I bring you with something super spicy."

"That threat is clearly more effective than the others," Shiller sighed, "I was just worried the show's effect wouldn't be enough."

"You really know how to pamper Tony," Matt mused, looking back at Stark who was standing proudly among a large group of people, "He loves this."

"It's not about pampering him." Shiller cleared his throat, "I'm a doctor. This is prescribing the right remedy. I have to earn the consultation fee that Tony gives me."

"You're just spoiling him." Matt said with slight disdain, "I bet, for the next ten years, he'll talk about this every day."

"That's not a bad thing," Shiller smiled, "It's much better than him overthinking and getting anxious all the time."

Matt couldn't argue with that. Shiller said, "People who are rich in emotions always need more emotional support from others. Although friends and family can support him, he will definitely doubt whether we are just flattering him."

"A stronger emotional support actually comes from the affirmation of strangers to your emotions. When you're sad, they're even more saddened by what makes you sad or by your sadness. It's the same when you're happy. This makes you feel that your abundant emotions are not a mistake, but something everyone experiences."

"It's a powerful and positive feedback for expressing emotions, obviously reducing the sense of isolation with other people, making one feel safe and supported."

Shiller explained while eating, "The principle is actually quite simple; people always have a feeling that 'those who find my wife beautiful do so privately for me.'"

"Affirmation from close friends and family about something you did or an emotion you felt may not be genuine. It might just be because of their close relationship with you that they need to comfort you and say it on purpose."

"But if a person with no ties to you and no interest in gain or loss stands up to support you, you tend to think their support is more rational and objective. It proves that you're really right, not just that you have a lot of friends."

"Everyone needs such support."

"Close friends and family will naturally take your side, while strangers will be more rational. This is a normal human expectation, so don't do it the other way around. Being impartial among friends and overly biased with empathy towards strangers are both big taboos."

"Although I know you mean well for him, I always feel like you're up to no good," Matt expressed his opinion.

"You always have prejudice and misunderstandings about me," Shiller said.

After a while, Stark finally finished showing off to the group of people, broke through the crowd, and came over to where Shiller and Matt were.

It was obvious he was in an explosively good mood; so many people were moved by their love, it nearly made him feel like flying.

Even when he was praised for his technological achievements and leading human civilization forward, he hadn't felt this happy.

If Stark were a peacock, his feathers would be fully fanned out by now.

"Yes, that's how Pepper and I are," Stark responded with a smile to the curious lady beside him, saying, "Without modesty, our love really is touching..."

The ladies' envious glances made Stark feel light as a feather.

However, Natasha pulled Shiller aside.

"What are you pulling here?"

"What?"

"Don't play dumb with me, is this your doing?"

"I don't know what you're talking about."

With a gritted-teeth sigh, Natasha said, "Damn it, I just found out I can cry too! I thought I didn't even have tear glands!"

"Stop talking nonsense, lady, of course, you do. Everyone is moved by genuine love..."

"But someone has to pay extra for this, right? Fair's fair!"

"Don't rush," Shiller said. "That's not the key point."

Natasha raised an eyebrow and said, "You're not just trying to sweet-talk that big shot into giving you money, are you?"

"Is it that simple?"

Glancing back at Stark, Natasha said, "I feel like he'd sign over Stark Group to you right now if you asked!"

"What would I want Stark Group for?"

After saying that, Shiller walked straight toward Stark. He flashed a smile to the ladies next to him, who tactfully excused themselves.

"What are you doing!" Stark was a little dissatisfied and said, "I haven't finished telling them about my first encounter with Pepper yet."

"I think you've reached the position of Cupid in their hearts," Shiller said.

"That high?" Stark's eyes always sparkled as he said, "Well, maybe barely up to Venus."

Shiller smiled, bowed his head, and pulled out something from the inside pocket of his suit.

"Nick has been looking for this thing," Shiller said. "Guess what this is?"

"What?" Stark was taken aback for a moment.

Shiller brought the item right in front of Stark's eyes, and only upon a closer look did Stark realize it was a voice recorder.

He suddenly had a bad feeling.

"Click, I've realized I was so stupid in the past..."

Stark immediately reached for the voice recorder.

After snatching it and frantically turning it off, he breathed a sigh of relief. But right when he turned his attention back to Shiller, he noticed Shiller had taken out three more identical voice recorders.

Tapping a recorder in his hand, Shiller said, "Everyone here is moved by your past love story. What do you think they would do if they heard you saying you were stupid before?"

"Give me the pens!!!!"

Seeing Stark lunge for them, Shiller swiftly dodged. Unperturbed by Stark's murderous look, he said, "I'm not asking for much—a pen for five dollars, there are ten million here. Do you want to pay in full or in installments?"

After a long moment, a roar of fury echoed along the coast of California State.

"Shiller!!!!!!!!!!"
