"I said I am not coming back. Even if the royals won't allow me, I will run away and rather become a rogue than come to a hypocritical place like that," Katherine said in her moment of anger and Michael's wolf started to take over.

"Do you really think the outside world is a beautiful place? Hmm? Do you think just because Prince Elwin allowed you to stay, you can live anywhere freely?" Michael asked, grabbing her hair in his fist, almost yanking her towards himself, making her hiss in pain as he tilted her head to force her to look at him.

"At least the royals know how to treat a woman better than a b*stard like you!" Katherine spat, not wanting to go down with such humiliation.

Michael's chest vibrated with pure anger.

He raised his hand and backhanded her, making her heart turn to her left as she tasted the familiar metallic liquid in her mouth, her tears rolling down her cheeks as she sniffed.
