บท 40: New story
Natasha was flying. She didn't know where to go or where to look. All she knows is to find John's soul somewhere. Priya and Donna were also looking for him. Donna knew she couldn't possibly see his soul so she accompanied Priya.
Phoenix was going to kill the person who did this to John but knowing that was a test by his master he didn't know what to do next. Scarmerine didn't care about anything that's happening around him. He was just enjoying his meal. The cat ate its food and it walked into the bushes and vanished.
Phoenix looked at Scarmerine. He finished eating and he was washing the dishes. Phoenix asked his master,
"Master, what all happened has already happened. We can't change that but tell me something. I can't sense his soul anymore. Is it already passed on? Or is it vanquished?"
Master smiled and said,
"Don't worry my son. Everything will be revealed. In time. Just trust your instincts and follow it."
Phoenix expected that. He knew the master would never give him a straight answer. He wanted to get a hint from the master's words. But he didn't get a clue what master meant. Phoenix decided to go on a wild goose chase. Finding a soul which doesn't even exist anymore. John is a stubborn young boy, but he was one of the energy beings just like Phoenix or Scarmerine.
Phoenix and Scarmerine left the place. They started looking at the surrounding places of the hospital, because they thought that he died in the hospital. The ape man didn't mention that John died in front of him.
Father Andrewson and father Jacob along with father Paulson are busy with the funeral of John. At the same time father Sebastian and father Michael were too eager to celebrate the victory they received unexpectedly. So many priests from other places came to John's funeral.
Father Andrewson got tired and he fell down. Everyone knows he's too emotional about John's death. So they told him to take a rest. Other priests took over the charge and they started the prayer. Father Jacob took Father Andrewson to his room.
Watching that Father Michael got an idea and he also fell down. Father Sebastian understood his acting and he played along. He took Father Michael to his room and right after others left, they sneaked out of the place through the secret paths under the church.
The secret agency they were running was having a party because their main enemy John died without them even trying. Father Sebastian and father Michael joined them. That time the leader of the secret agency Adamson arrived. He stood top of everyone and said,
"Hello my friends, we are all gathered here to celebrate the victory that came to our hand unexpectedly. It is an omen that shows that God is always with us. All of you came here for a reason. The god chose you, he chose you to carry on his wishes among the humans. There are still humans who diffys God's wishes. Changing them isn't an option. Elimination is the only option. That's what god meant by killing this Jauary John. Come to think of it, God did the work for us. So we will do his work for him. And now is the time to celebrate. Everyone, start enjoying yourselves and on this day everyone is off duty. Everyone will get a bonus this month."
They were saying hooray out loud. They became so happy hearing about the bonus and they all started the party. Adamson looked at Father Sebastian and he walked towards the place Adamson was standing.
Father Sebastian and father Michael reached the top. Adamson asked,
"I'm trusting you guys on this. We are talking about an energy being here. Are you absolutely sure that he's dead?"
Father Sebastian nodded in agreement. He said,
"Don't worry sir. I'm positive about this. I was in the vehicle they brought John's body to the church. I put some cyanide in his mouth before we reached the church. Only my faithful assistant father Michael saw that. Even if he was alive he would die from the cyanide."
Adamson started thinking. After a while he said,
"Don't just stand there, sit. Both of you. (Then he looked at his bodyguards and told them to leave the place. Then he continued) look we have got lucky and the main problem is finished. But we can't rest just like that. We need to eliminate the other eleven energy beings for our plans to completely work. First of all you should take care of that woman and the girl that tags along with him every time. That should be easy but there is a rumor. John had a companion, which might cause us trouble. It's a ghost. We don't know how powerful it is. It's not anything like the ghosts we use to possess people. If what I heard was right then that ghost is more than 5000 years old."
Father Sebastian started thinking. Killing Priya isn't an easy task as sir Adamson says. Now there is a ghost too. It's getting more troublesome. Adamson cleared his throat and said,
"Are you listening, Sebastian? What I meant is your holy water and holy book trick only work on the ghosts we set up. When it is a real possession or a real ghost you have no chance of winning. You have to find a real exorcist."
Father Sebastian knew that the type of exorcism he was doing was just a fake. Even if the holy water or the holy book worked on a real ghost, he didn't know how to do it. He doesn't even know anyone who could do that. Father Sebastian lost his mode of celebration and he fell into deep thoughts.
The black and white fur cat was sitting there and it watched everything. It looked back at you and said,
"It's really tragic right? Our main character just died. Not even his soul exists anymore. I think the author made a mistake in naming this story. What do you think? Isn't it time to change the name? Jauary John is dead. Let me think of a better name. Phoenix and Scarmerine, it's a good name. Or Donna the possessed girl's investigation. Naa… that's too bad. Natasha the prettiest ghost, that sounds good. What will you choose? Or do you have anything in your mind?"
