บท 20: Try Me
Only when Chen Ming returned to his room after being directed by servants did he finally realize what he had done as his limbs trembled a little. He called out to the system on his own this time.
"Chick….." Chen Ming swallowed and said, "I won't be killed, right?"
"Hmm?" The ugly chick looked up with a hint of interest in his eyes as he asked, "Weren't you the one who jumped to commit suicide first? Where did your determination to die go? You're so afraid like a little boy!"
He laughed out loud as he flapped his wings and continued to do a happy dance. His happy dance seemed to have irritated the man even more as he grabbed the chick by his beak and lifted him in the air to his eye level, looking straight at it for a moment.
"I have changed my mind all of a sudden, and I don't want to die. Do you have any fucking problem with this?"
"MNMNMMnnnnnmmm!!!!!" The poor ugly chick couldn't speak a single word because his beak was being held by the man's firm fingers.
Chen Ming let go of the beak as the ugly chick fell to the ground with a thud. After falling straight to its face, the chick groaned and cursed his host for a while before finally lifting himself to his little weak feet. He glared at his host as if wronged and said, "Host, what did I do to deserve this?!"
"Nothing. You did nothing." Chen Ming's eyes were cold as if he were blaming his system for being useless.
At first, Chick didn't understand this, but when he did, his eyes widened as he fumed in anger. Of course, an angry little chick looked even uglier than before upon being glanced at so much that Chen Ming wrinkled his nose and averted his gaze, saying, "Off you go. I don't need you now."
He had already calmed down upon being angered.
The little ugly chick stomped on his feet and disappeared from the scene.
Chen Ming scoffed as he let the ugly thing get away from his sight. Then he looked at himself and found a mirror in the corner, finally walking over to glance at his own appearance.
He looked at himself from one side and then turned to another side, smiling as he stared with a hint of satisfaction appearing in the depths of his eyes.
He really did look good in a pirate's outfit. It was just that he didn't look scary enough….
A sigh escaped his lips and he decided to take the outfit off his body. Just as he turned around, he jumped in surprise when he found a familiar man standing on his door, leaning against his door frame.
Fuck!!!!
"Can't you knock?"
"This is my home, and this is my guest room." Gao Wen shrugged. "I don't want to knock."
"Well then get out. I want to change."
In any case, this pirate's outfit seemed to be extra heavy on his body. It was too lengthy on his feet and sleeves anyway.
"I don't want to."
"Get the fuck out!"
"Like I said, I don't want to." The man shrugged and continued to stand there leaning against the doorframe.
Chen Ming took a deep breath to suppress his anger and turned around, glancing at his small, non-negligible wardrobe as compared to the longer one at the man's. But at the very least, he could hide himself inside the wardrobe and change his robes.
As he thought about it, he walked into the wardrobe and was about to close the door when the man came to the door at blinding speed and grabbed it with his hand. He looked at the other with a hint of amusement in his eyes as he gestured to the young man and said, "Go on. I want to see whether you destroy my outfit or not. So I want to see you change in front of my eyes."
"You're not gay." Chen Ming knew this man wasn't bent or anything. So why was this guy pretending to be one when he wasn't that in the first place? He just didn't understand how this person's mind worked.
"So? Can't I be curious about how you blush upon being naked? You become a rabbit down in the hole that's exposed to bright daylight in front of a lion." Gao Wen licked his lips as he chuckled and said, "What do you think will happen when you try to hide?"
The more the rabbit tries to hide in front of the lion, the more he is attracting danger in his footsteps.
Chen Ming knew what this person was saying, but just what the actual fuck?! He didn't want to continue being naked in front of another straight man when he had to bend the man in front of him, bending over to his knees.
It was damn too uncomfortable!
But….
Since this straight man was hell-bent on giving him a difficult time, he also wouldn't back down without a fight!
After that, he smiled at the devil lord and started stripping, slowly this time as if he were giving a strip tease. Even though he hadn't done this, he did play games and knew what a strip tease was.
His expression remained cold and indifferent as he said while stripping, "Don't be confused. I also have no interest in you because like you, I'm also straight as a pole. But I do want to see if I can bend someone as straight as you."
"You think you can bend me?" Gao Wen raised his brows as his entire expression was full of amusement. He looked like a lion who was utterly bored and was finally hoarding a rabbit, making it dance on his fingers.
This sense of control made the devil lord feel utterly satisfied.
"Yes."
"Alright." Gao Wen chuckled and leaned forward, saying, "Try me."
บท 21: The Werewolf
Chen Ming felt veins popping on his forehead as he turned his gaze away, breaking away their nerve-wracking eye contact. This time, his pace of stripping had quickened.
He stripped out of those robes until he had nothing and quickly found some clothes lying on the side, looking extremely normal. A plain shirt and trousers of white and brown colors.
He successfully wore it all and turned around, raising his eyebrows. "What else, my lord? Do you expect me to do a strip dance too?"
"Do it." Gao Wen had a smirk on his face. "You wanted to bend me, didn't you? Why don't you give it a try? Until now, you did interest me, but your body is just so ordinary…. I can't even feel the slightest amount of fluctuation in my heart."
Chen Ming felt veins popping on his forehead all over again, but this time, he said nothing and pushed the man away, walking outside as he said without even turning back, "If you're hungry, follow me. Otherwise, I'm going to the dining room."
Gao Wen also shrugged and followed as he said, "You know the way?"
"I can ask."
"Well, I can tell you."
Chen Ming stopped and turned around slightly, asking, "Will you tell me?"
"Nope." The man had a mocking expression on his face. "Why should I help a puny human?"
Chen Ming gave out "I knew it" expression as he turned around and continued walking. As they continued onward, the shameless devil once again opened his mouth.
"Since you like cosplaying, why don't we make you a woman?"
"Huh?" Chen Ming was stunned after hearing those words. "What did you just say?"
"You're becoming a woman for me."
"Why should I?"
"Because you're living in my place, and you have to follow my orders." Gao Wen shrugged as he put his hands in his pockets and said, "You'd look pretty as a woman."
"Are you sure you're straight?" Chen Ming was confused as he looked back. "Straight men don't flirt with guys."
"Who told you that I'm straight? I can be a bi too."
"...."
It was useless talking to this guy. Every time Gao Wen opened his damned mouth, he would only trouble himself. It was better to practice silence in front of the man.
Chen Ming called out his system silently and asked, "Tell me romance value."
"The same." Chick showed the dashboard on his little tablet and shrugged before placing it on the ground. "Not even 1%."
"Oh..." Chen Ming's gaze turned colder as he walked faster than ever in that corridor. Since this devil lord only wanted to make a fool out of him, he would ignore him at all costs!
Of course, he could do something about it, but he was still not that much angered. In any case, the man hadn't really done anything so terrible to the point of forcing him to get out of his comfort zone and teach that guy a lesson.
In fact, he knew the man was a devil lord. So it would be better if he strayed away from the man's path and just finished his missions like a good and nice little host, but if his buttons were pushed beyond the limits…..
Even he didn't know what he would end up doing.
Once there was a senior in his school days who bullied him, but it was never extreme. The guy would corner him and would make him bring food every now and then. Of course, it was better that the bully paid for his own food, so Chen Ming was okay with doing such a menial service. After all, he only had to move a little muscle and nothing else.
But one day, the bully did something over the top, pushing Chen Ming's button so much so that he ended up bullying the bully master back. In the end, no one in the entire school touched Chen Ming. Rather, they were all afraid of him in the end.
No one dared to touch him by the end of his entire schooling, not even seniors.
Thus, he could teach any bully a lesson, but he didn't want to use his brain cells when he could just take it easy and rest all he wanted.
Thankfully, the devil lord seemed to have disappeared from behind him for some reason, letting him heave a sigh of relief. Just as he was walking forward, the butler came running from the other side. His face was pale as he rushed ahead and grabbed Chen Ming's shoulders, saying, "Young master, you should hide!"
Hide? Why?
"There's been an attack in the palace!" The butler looked anxious as he took a deep breath and said, "Young master, you'd better hide in your room for now. I'll bring some snacks until the mess sorts out."
Chen Ming was curious about the fight since he had never seen one, but thac didn't mean he would do this at the cost of his life. Thus, he shrugged and said, "I'll go back."
He turned around and walked back to his room, closing the door behind him. Of course, he wouldn't stop at just that knowing there was a fight going on.
Thus, he also opened the door and looked outside with a hint of curiosity in his eyes.
Before this, he didn't have a chance to look outside since he never opened the window ever since he arrived here. This, he was stunned when he glanced upon beautiful gardens being destroyed by werewolves. Some of them when they thrashed the beautiful rose vases on the side of the pathway that led to the main door were also destroyed one after another.
Colorful flowers scattered all over the ground, creating a destructive yet beautiful scenario.
Chen Ming leaned on the frame of the window, hiding behind the curtains as he watched the scene playing. He had seen such events in those movies, and he didn't think reality was so boring.
At least, they would show the young men actively destroying everything in slow motions at different angles. Of course, they would reduce the boring part where the werewolves screamed like crazed wolves who were bereft of their entire families.
Chen Ming frowned as he heard another roar. But just as he was watching, he saw the biggest werewolf, or a four legged animal, he had ever seen!
