บท 145: A Troublesome Teammate

The Blood-Iron grade Deathsong creaked under pressure as Samar pulled the bowstring back, stretching it to his limits. A powerful white glow from the Power Shot skill enveloped the arrow, increasing the range by another 50%. 

Finally, the Animator Thant, hiding high up in the roots, was brought within his attack range and Samar released the arrow. With a powerful swoosh, the arrow cut through the air. 

Finding narrow gaps in the root branches, the arrow traversed the tricky path and reached Thant. The Animator, alerted by the faint whistle of the arrow, moved at the last moment, suffering only a minor bleeding cut instead of a pierced organ. 

"Who dares?" Thant's loud raspy voice boomed through the chamber. He used the Root Sap from the tree to animate the corpse in his hands and let it descend on the raiding team gathered below.
