Leon woke up in silence. His eyelids slowly parted open to reveal a strange darkness. It took a moment for him to adjust to the dark before he let out a faint groan and sat up.
"Where am I?"
Leon looked around.
It didn't take long for him to recognize the room.
"Ah."
It was the infirmary.
He had been here before.
"Ukh."
And the pain that spread through every inch of his body served as perfect proof of this.
"You're awake?"
A certain voice spoke, snapping him out of it. Leon turned his head to see a girl sitting on one of the wooden chairs on the opposite side of the bed. With purple locks cascading down the side of her shoulder, Evelyn brushed her hair behind her ear and put the book she was reading down.
"You've been out for almost two days."
"Ah...?"
Leon replied sluggishly. Two days...? How could it be? It felt as though he had just finished his match with Julien.
