Victor walked back inside his office, his shoulders sagged. When he heard that Maya was going on a date, he felt heartbroken, but there was nothing he could do.

Maya was an adult, and there was nothing wrong with her looking for love, but most importantly, he wanted to know what happened between her and Luca and why they were no longer together. He crashed on his office table with his eyes closed.

"Is our new manager sleeping or thinking about how to make the company better?" Luca entered the office, a small smile on his face. He sat down on the couch with his leg crossed.

Victor opened his eyes, but he didn't look at Luca; he was looking at the ceiling. "What are you doing here?"

"That's no way to talk to the owner of the company. I can be anywhere as long as this company is concerned," Luca joked, but when he noticed that Victor wasn't talking, the smile on his lips faltered.
