บท 16: 16. Fake smile
After ensuring that there was nothing wrong with the contract, Wang Yuting slowly took a chair and sat beside where Chen Wei lay.
Perhaps due to exhaustion, she slowly fell asleep, leaning against Chen Wei's feet. As she slept, she had a beautiful smile, as if she was having a pleasant dream.
Time passed, and now Chen Wei slowly opened his eyes. His head still ached, and most importantly, he had no strength at all! 'I'm afraid he might not even be able to lift a spoon now,' Chen Wei thought.
Currently lying down, Chen Wei didn't have the strength to get up. However, from the corner of his eye, he could see Wang Yuting sleeping. 'Could it be that she took care of me when I fainted?' Chen Wei wondered.
'Maybe she's not as bad as I thought,' but considering that this woman took his virginity, Chen Wei felt a sense of sadness. You know, men in this world value their virginity as if it's their life.
Perhaps sensing Chen Wei's movement, she slowly opened her eyes, looking at Chen Wei. They stared at each other.
Awkwardness ensued, and not wanting an uncomfortable atmosphere, Wang Yuting spoke first. "How do you feel?" Wang Yuting asked with concern.
Seeing her concern, Chen Wei sighed and spoke with a sweet smile, "I'm fine, thank you for worrying about me."
Seeing Chen Wei's sweet smile, she fell silent, her heart pounding. Suppressing her rapidly beating heart, Wang Yuting, with a friendly smile, said, "I'm the one who caused your condition, so I have to take responsibility."
Seeing this, Chen Wei nodded and thought to himself, 'It seems like I misunderstood her earlier. She's actually a good person.'
Seeing Chen Wei nod, Wang Yuting stood up and asked, "You haven't eaten anything; is there anything you'd like to eat?"
"I want something spicy," Chen Wei said.
Wang Yuting nodded, "Alright, I'll go out to buy food."
With a gentle smile, Wang Yuting talked with Chen Wei and then left. After exiting the door of the room where Chen Wei was being treated, Wang Yuting's gentle smile slowly disappeared, replaced by a cold expression.
Peeking through a small mirror, she saw Chen Wei looking towards the window, seemingly in good spirits.
Seeing Chen Wei's good mood, she said coldly, "Smile to your heart's content while you can! When you see that contract, you might lose that smile of yours," she said. With a small laugh, Wang Yuting slowly walked away.
