บท 91: May I Come?

"Father Song, this is our opportunity!"

Such was the first thing Chen Ru said as soon as they entered the guest house. "Did you hear what she said? She must know something – no, a lot! If we ask for her cooperation, we could obtain so much useful information!"

"And what makes you so sure that she's going to side with us?" Song Zhuyu countered sharply, choking the other speechless. "She was born here. Her family, her parents, her relatives – they're all here. She has grown up on this very island. So what makes you think she would forsake it all… just for two strangers she has barely known for a week?" he raised a challenging brow. 

Chen Ru opened his mouth, only to close it again when he couldn't think of any solid arguments. What Song Zhuyu said made perfect sense. Just because Rui Shuren had given them a warning did not mean that she would willingly betray her roots for them.
