บท 55: My Perfect Vessel

Song Zhuyu ignored the blood trickling down his nose and seeping from his ears. With a bloodthirsty grin, he took his first step into the house, albeit a little shaky. "So this is where you have been hiding all along, huh?" he sneered. "You've covered your tracks so well that I didn't even detect a hint. Well done, you."

The only source of light in the house came from the feeble fire in the hearth, but it completely paled in comparison to the suffocating darkness that filled the air. Nonetheless, it was more than enough for Song Zhuyu to see that something was very terribly wrong with Rui Ye's current state; his fair skin was now streaked with black tendrils akin to lightning, and his lips had taken on a ghastly gray hue, making him appear more dead than alive.

He was possessed.

And not only by a soldier, but by the demon itself.

Song Zhuyu pulled out the rosary hanging around his neck and chanted, "In the name of the Father, and the Son—"
