บท 174: Aether's Decision

Swoosh!

Boom!

The ground underneath Lareth's feet sunk in instantly as Lareth propelled towards Linda.

He extended his arm towards the stone cone.

He could clearly see the stone cone slowly go down, closer and closer to the stone dome.

Now, it was a race. Would Lareth arrive on time?

He got closer and closer. Obviously, he was faster than Linda.

But Linda was too close to the child. 

When he was on a meter from her, the stone cone penetrated the stone barrier.

'NO...' His heart trembled as he used every ounce of strength he had.

Boom!

Suddenly, his speed skyrocketed.

Thud!

He caught Linda's hand.

"No..." Linda's eyes widened in terror as she tried with all her strength to push the cone down. 'Just a little more,'

But no matter how hard she tried, his hand didn't budge. Lareth held her tightly.

Crack!

Cracks spread down the stone barrier that protected the baby.
