"But, my lord…" Lea's voice trailed off as a look of hesitation crossed her face. She began wringing her hands nervously, her eyes darting around as if searching for something or someone.

Rast's smile faded as he noticed her unease. Concern etched into his features, he stepped closer. "What is it, Lea? What's wrong?"

Lea glanced up at him, her expression a mixture of fear.

"But, my lord, please don't tell Lady Adeline that I accepted these gloves from you."

"Alright," Rast agreed with a nod. "Now, let me take you to your destination, and then you should hurry back to the palace."

"Wait a moment, my lord!" Lea said, trying to steady herself as Rast gently nudged her forward.

"What's the matter? Do you want to take a walk first?"

"Ah? Take a walk to where?" Lea's eyes widened. "That's a great idea."
