As the days went by, with the help of Adam's Potions of Explosion, the city guards continued to kill the vampire spawns that appeared every other night.

But even though these undead creatures were killed, their numbers just didn't seem to decrease. If anything, it actually increased. And it continued to do so day after day, causing the guards to feel helpless.

Things had reached such a point that the residents of the city were now fully aware of what transpired after sunset.

It was manageable for the Count to keep things under wrap in the beginning, but as more and more people began to disappear, he knew that things couldn't stay hidden any longer. He had to let the public know.

And now, the people didn't even turn their house lights on after the curfew, fearing that those foul undead creatures would invade their homes and abduct them. They could only pray that the brave city guards and the mighty Magi would protect them.
