บท 56: Chance Assassination

Crystal's hunger was far from being filled.

Yet since she used her ice powers, which were naturally growing even without eating, she had more strength to move. She was eating to prepare herself for a possible last use of her magic in case she would fight anybody else.

After munching off through several meat jerkies from the soldiers' pouches, Crystal quickly ran out.

Kin had drawn the battle away from the house as he retreated and led the guards to chase, and no one noticed Crystal rushing towards the river.

But it was as if luck was on her side. She saw a small group of guards leaving the small door at the side of the mansion, and they rushed towards the port close to the river. And with these guards was the very noble she wanted dead!

"Roden!" Crystal felt her arm grow restless as her soul suddenly began to surge with flames of hotter forms.

Her anger and rage manifested and made a flame so hot that it was scorching Crystal from within!
