I raised my towards the heavens and released an inferno of black flames that created the illusion of the sky being ignited.
"Those flames..." The princess whispered quietly as beads of swear formed on her forehead.
"What kind of magic is that..." The prince muttered in fear yet refused to back down despite of it.
"He's... Not using the magicules around him to create it." His sister continued, "it's using his raw strength alone... And the size of the flame, perfectly captures his.."
Yes, that's right. Be in awe of my awesome strength.
I huffed my chest and chuckles quietly, glancing at Shizue who was simply staring at me with unimpressed eyes while pointing upwards.
Hmm?
I tilted my head in confusion and directed my attention above me.
... Crap.
Cold sweat immediately covered the back of my neck as I noticed the fiery vortex was slowly but surely growing out of control. It's sheer size was comparable to a tornado, with it's edges setting the nearby trees aflame.
Calm down, calm down.
I repeatedly told myself and slowly glanced at Shizue to silently ask for help.
"Alright." She sighed with a helpless smile before jumping backwards to stop the fire from spreading further.
"Well," I cleared my throat to get their attention and raised my other arm, this time controlling the pieces of magisteel beneath our feet.
They were a large scale project of mine, made solely by the amazing minds of the dwarves and the great sage combined.
A thin layer of iron was buried deep within the ground around the soon to be Jura tempest foundation, all of which were connected to a small hole located below my house.
Every day, I'd inject a vast amount of magicules that comes from veldora himself in hopes of turning the simply sheet of iron to magisteel.
And the result?
Multiple, glistening blades of unrefined magic ore shot up from the ground like a dormant Geyser.
Afterwhich, the pillars of ore were blown to smithereens from a barrage of black lightning that rained down from the heavens on my command.
"Hey, you're overdoing it." Shizue's voice echoed inside my mind which pulled me into an abrupt stop.
Eh?
I turned my attention towards Shizue who wore a mischievous grin on her lips as she created small gusts of wind to put out the fires that I had caused.
"Well... There you have it." I declared after clearing my throat and dismissing the inferno that raged above our heads.
"Do you still want to fight?"
Silence.
Nothing but the gentle footsteps of Shizue and the priestess echoed in the area as they both took their respective spots.
"Majin... I admit, you are strong. Far stronger than anything we could ever hope to defeat " the prince muttered in utter defeat.
"Prince... Normally I'd advise you to take the princess and run but.. I fear not even I could buy enough time for you to even take the first step."
"You feel it too old man?"
"Of course, I'm not yet senile you know" the two chuckled in friendly banter but their eyes mirrored the hopelessness and anger that they felt.
"Will you be willing to listen now?"
"... No." He shook his head and unsheated his blade. "Even if I'd die, I will honor the memories of my fallen brothers and sisters by leaving behind a scar you'll always remember. "
Tsk, I completely forgot he's a battle maniac.
The Benimaru I knew was the type to challenge the demon Lord Carrion even when he was sent as a peaceful envoy.
He was strong but also knew that there were others fat stronger than him, and that serves as his fire to keep going forward.
"Brother! Stop!" Shuna intervened the moment she could and stopped right in front of me.
"What are you doing? Get out of the way!"
"Think about it! This Majin is clearly strong enough to wipe us all out, and the woman he's with is just as strong!" She reasoned. "With the two of them, is there any reason for them to use underhanded tactics like using orcs to attack us?"
"Orcs huh..." I whisperer which caught all of their attention.
"Well... In any case, listen to your sister." I immediately added and handed the princess my mask.
"Here, feel free to study the mask if it's the one you're looking for."
"... They, do seen similar but.. "
"This one has an anti magic aura on it... The Majin that visited our village wasn't hiding theirs."
The siblings mumbled to each other while I went ahead and healed the injuries that the other ogres got.
Still, I'm thankful everything is going as plan... Wish I could have saved the ogre village tho.
I thought to myself as I begun to untangle the future Soei from the trap I left him in.
Over a few months ago, I had named a few knight spiders which caused them to evolve into a new species of hell spiders.
They were above A rank so I had sent them in advance to try and save the ogre village, as I had wanted to recruit them and they were the monsters that seemed perfect for the job.
Ogres were too weak to hunt them unless they were ready for heavy casualties but had numbers that didn't invite fear of them.
"It was supposed to be perfect... " I whispered in regret which caused the future shion to look at me weirdly.
But just a few days ago, I lost my connection with all of them. It was instantaneous too, all spiders disappeared from my soul corridor in a flash.
They were wiped out, in a single attack no less. Something scary was already moving behind the scenes, and that something was entirely new to me.
"Who are you..." I muttered while gazing upwards to the open sky that seemed farther and more overbearing than before.
