บท 75: Blurred lines

Nathanael's POV:

"I know exactly what you want from me, what you expect of me… What you want to do to me…," 

"Don't say that!" I spit through my stiffened jaw.

"Say what?" she murmurs as she steps in my direction.

I stand in place, every muscle in my body as rigid and stubborn as a rock, like my figure has been cast in an iron mold. 

I hear her shoes tapping against the ground, but her motions are so flush, so light that she appears as though she's floating.

The air around rises to a saturation level with the savory scent of almond she proffers everywhere she goes. Even her breath carries that fragrance when it brushes across my features.

She stops right before me, where she looks up at me, leaving but very few inches between us.
