Next, she took Elena's hand, gently cutting her fingertip, allowing a drop of blood to fall.
Soon, the two drops of blood merged, radiating a red glow that enveloped both the human and the dragon.
In the unseen realm, the covenant was successfully formed.
A red mark briefly appeared on Elena's forehead and similarly on the forehead of the white dragon.
"Clap, clap, clap!!"
Leo, standing aside, began to applaud.
As a most qualified spectator, his face was lit up with a smile.
Elena was still somewhat dazed, not quite believing she had just formed a covenant with a white dragon.
She looked at the white dragon, her eyes slightly bewildered.
At this moment, the white dragon lowered her body, indicating that Elena could climb onto her back.
Elena bit her lower lip, instinctively looking towards Leo.
"You're now in a symbiotic relationship, you can trust this dragon lady," Leo said with a nod and a smile.
"Well... thank you," Elena hesitated a moment before carefully replying.
She then stepped onto the white dragon's wing and slowly seated herself on the dragon's back.
Seeing this, Leo moved forward with a smile, attempting to find a spot for himself as well.
However, the white dragon fluttered her wings and gave him a cold glance, clearly refusing.
"Whoosh! Whoosh!"
The white dragon's wings whipped up a fierce wind, and soon she ascended into the high skies.
Leo watched the white dragon's retreating figure, his mouth twitching.
He couldn't help but raise a middle finger and thought: When I was taming your ancestors in hell, you weren't even born!
Despite his annoyance, thinking of a white dragon guarding Jacques in the future still made him quite happy, so a faint smile returned to his face.
Looking around, Leo sensed several powerful auras approaching.
He wasn't particularly afraid, but he also didn't want to attract trouble, so he concealed his presence and quickly left the area.
...
The massive white dragon flew across the sky above Jacques.
Some of the townspeople saw the dragon's figure, but because the white dragon was moving so swiftly, they couldn't make out her true appearance, only speculating in their hearts about what it might be.
Leo rode his horse back to Jacques quietly, not stirring too much attention.
When he arrived at his office, Elena and the white dragon, Feya, were already waiting for him.
It was night, and the moonlight streaming into Leo's office cast an icy sheen on Feya's scales.
To fit into the office space, Feya had reduced her size from over ten meters to just five or six meters in length, but the aura of her presence remained immensely formidable.
"Mr. Leo, now that Feya has come back with us, I think we should provide her with a dragon's nest," Elena suggested.
Leo glanced at Feya, a slight smirk forming at the corner of his mouth, thinking to himself that it was finally time for them to ask for his help.
As he knew, a dragon's dwelling couldn't be just anywhere.
It required a substantial amount of elemental power, ample space, and sometimes, dragons even demanded tributes of treasures.
"Ah, you see, although Jacques is large, we also have a significant population! Moreover, Lady Feya is a dragon. If we casually arrange a place, I'm afraid it might scare some citizens," Leo feigned difficulty.
"If you cannot provide a place, I can find one myself," Feya said coldly.
"The forest of spellbeasts lies outside the city, and those powerful beings are still tracing your whereabouts. Beyond that are human kingdoms. Unless you can fly across this continent, it will be difficult to find a suitable habitat," Leo said calmly.
Hearing this, Feya's gaze flickered.
She knew Leo was telling the truth, but the pride and dignity of her dragon lineage did not allow her to beg others, so she remained stubbornly silent.
"Leo, Lady Feya can stay at my estate. I don't mind," Elena offered softly.
"Of course, she can stay at your estate. However, the expenses required to support a giant dragon are far beyond what your salary can afford," Leo said with a smile.
Elena bit her lip, visibly troubled.
Feya's front claws were tightly gripping the carpet, her purple eyes revealing a restless mood.
"I will find a place," Feya spoke up, slowly turning to leave the room.
"If Lady Feya could help me with some matters at the right time, these issues can be resolved," Leo interjected timely, smiling.
Hearing this, Feya stopped in her tracks.
She turned to face Leo, her eyes flickering with annoyance.
Undoubtedly, Leo was threatening her!
"Leo!"
Elena called out softly, a bit angrily.
She wasn't naive and realized Leo was threatening Feya.
"What do you want me to help you with?" Feya asked in a cold voice.
"Can you scare people?" Leo asked with a smile.
"What?" Feya was taken aback, not quite understanding.
"Just like this," Leo said, raising his hand and making a clawing gesture.
Seeing the exaggerated expression on Leo's face, Feya looked utterly unamused.
"Whom do you want me to scare?" she inquired.
"Mr. Leo, you should know how proud the dragon race is," Elena interjected, unable to hold back.
"Of course, I know. Don't worry, I won't ask this esteemed lady to do anything too excessive," Leo reassured with a shake of his head.
Turning back to Feya, he added, "You'll know in a few days. I assure you, those guys will be terrified out of their wits!"
His mind conjured an image, and his face grew more smug.
"Then could you help Feya find a place to live for now?" Elena asked.
"I'll have my men search for magical materials immediately and build a dragon's nest right next to your estate. However, Feya might have to stay at Miss Elena's estate for a few days until the nest is ready," Leo responded with a smile.
"No problem," Feya nodded in agreement.
With the discussions concluded, Feya, clearly not inclined to engage further with someone as mentally intricate as Leo, promptly left his office.
Elena bid farewell to Leo and accompanied Feya.
Leo smiled as he watched them leave.
Once their figures had disappeared, he slowly turned and walked to the window, gazing into the distance, lost in thought.
The information conveyed by Feya was startling.
So, the leader of the dragon race had disappeared?
And there was a rebellion within the dragon race, with this dragon princess being hunted down here?
It seemed significant changes were unfolding on the continent, and a storm might be imminent.
Leo squinted his eyes, feeling a sense of unease and a burning desire to become stronger.
Only by becoming strong enough could he protect what he wished to protect!
...
Within a few days, Leo's men quickly gathered enough magical materials and swiftly constructed a dragon's nest.
To keep the white dragon's existence a secret for the time being, Leo had the nest concealed.
Meanwhile, aid from Rain arrived at Jacques - over a million pounds of food and three hundred thousand gold coins.
These resources were sufficient to temporarily support Jacques' needs.
Leo expressed his gratitude to Rain and provided the next two months' worth of potions in advance.
Once everything was settled, Leo received a war report.
The war had finally ended.
Thanks to Leo's victory in Jacques, the Blueyard Kingdom's army was split, and a significant portion of their strength was depleted.
Soon, Lionara's forces quickly expelled all enemy troops from their territory.
With the arrival of peace, the gaze from the capital once again fell upon Jacques.
An army from the capital set out, marching towards Jacques.
"Should we contact other nations in advance? If the troops from the capital really arrive, the people in the city might turn against us,"
Lilith stood in front of Leo, speaking in a cold voice.
"No need," Leo shook his head, squinting his eyes.
Lilith was puzzled, not understanding why Leo was so confident.
The authority of the monarchy was still deeply rooted throughout Lionara.
How could he be so sure of holding the city under the potential shift of public allegiance?
She was certain that if Leo became a prisoner, King Vickery III would not hesitate to kill him.
The reason was simple: during the war, Leo's actions were tantamount to rebellion!
