[3rd POV]
*CLING* *CLING* *CLING*
The loud clanging of metal hitting metal was filling the basement of the Morningstar home. As Talia was standing in her forge, hammering away at a blade she was creating. The hot flames of the forge illuminated the surroundings, as Talia breathed out, gripping the burning hot blade in her hand, and lowering it into cold water.
'Let's see if this works now' Talia thought, as she slowly lifted the cold blade out of the water, slowly a grin formed on her face as she gazed upon it.
[Unnamed Blade #105 - The creation of Talia Morningstar, a budding blacksmith. The blade is created through a combination of magic, shadowhunter runes, various other runes, Orichalum, and Quixium. A powerful blade that boosts the magic of the wielder, and is also highly resistant to magic, making it a powerful weapon against magic users. It also can alter the very DNA of those struck by the blade, due to the Quixium that is held within]
"Not bad, not bad at all. The durability of it is fantastic, and it will be quite powerful against magical beings, but...it's still not as powerful as I'd have hoped. Oh well, another to toss into the Gate" Talia said with a shrug, before tossing it over her shoulder, as it flew into the Gate of Babylon.
"Hmm, perhaps we can try Absorbium next? It's ability to absorb deadly gases might be helpful. Hell, I could potentially warp it into something that can absorb all gases, making it a bit of a one hit kill weapon against certain creatures. If I had some vibranium or adamantium then I would be trying stuff with that, but no! I don't got none" Talia said with a pout, wishing she had some of that at the moment, but she was stuck with what she had.
It had been over a month since the defeat of Tal-Rho, and Talia and the girls had continued to relax and just..enjoy life. Talia had done exactly what she said she would, and ended up going on a mass claiming spree, taking over 25 more suns for herself, giving her a total of 30.
During this time, she had taken over a few uninhabited planets, farming them for materials, and using a shit ton of magic to terraform them into something habitable. She had already went on several dates to them, and was in the process of mining some of them for the unique materials held within them. As the Gate of Babylon had plenty of advanced mining equipment that was perfect for her needs.
From this, she had gotten tons of unique materials, and even some that she recognized from DC comics, like: Absorbium, Orichalum, Nth Metal (which she found out was on the Thanagar of this universe, except, Thanagar didn't seem to be habited, which was basically just free materials for her), Dionesium, and various types of Kryptonite that she had found within meteorites (all of which were safely put away into the Gate).
She had created over 1,000 blades at this point, but only 105 of them were successes, the rest...were promptly absorbed by her sword, and ignored. The blades that were properly created were put into her Gate, where they'd stay unless she needed them.
She planned on created a weapon for each of the girls, based off of what they use already. But she wanted to wait until she was good enough before doing something like that. As creating weapons that are appropriate for them, and strong enough to aid them, wasn't the easiest task, and she refused to mess up on their weapons.
During this month she had begun to rapidly grow her familiar army once more, doing this by turning creatures within her dimension into her familiars, as well as tens of thousands of Rats. She had even started looking into the creation of armor for the creatures, but hadn't done it just yet. She now had a grand total of: 35,000 Rats, 15,000 crows, and 2,500 chickens.
Besides this, she had continued to grow new plants and grow her farm more and more. Her farm now was home to magical crops such as: Moonfruit, Sunfruit, Fire Berries, Chocolate Strawberries (normal strawberries in appearance, chocolate strawberry in taste), various herbs that she had started to use in cooking, and many more different types of crops. All of them being grown skillfully and without difficult.
She hadn't started working with Lois just yet, but she imagined that was because her daughter from another world had appeared, the daughter of John Henry Irons, Natalie. Should she be asked, she planned on working with the woman alongside Kara, as she had nothing better to do at the moment.
Sighing as she put down the hammer, Talia stretched as her clothes flashed off of her, changing into something more comfortable, as she began to make her way back up stairs. She had been within the forge for several hours now, and the girls were probably not too happy about that, as it was nearly lunch time.
Walking up the stairs, she walked into the living room, only to smile at the sight of the girls all sitting, watching a movie.
"Hmm? How did the forging go?" Isabelle asked, upon noticing Talia walk into the living room.
"Great! Made a sword that can rewrite the DNA of those it strikes. Pretty cool, but I still want to make something a bit better" Talia replied, causing them all to sigh and look at her, upon hearing the ability of the blade. It was...a lot.
"When are y0u going to create ones for us?" Clary asked, causing Talia to shrug.
"I've got no clue, babe. But I think it should be before we leave back to Earth-38. I want to make the weapons as best as I possibly can, and I'll only do it once I'm confident. My girls deserve the best, and I'll give you the best" Talia replied, causing them all to look at her with small smiles on their faces.
"So...what plants are we going to do next?"
"I was thinking of bringing back some extinct ones and growing them. Or even growing some alien ones, like Kryptonian or Martian plants. I'm sure some of them could be helpful to us in the future, or even taste good" Talia replied, having a few ideas for plants, but nothing concrete just yet, as it was something they were always changing and deciding on.
They added new plants to the farm roughly every few days, as Talia made sure to add all sorts of illusions to it, so to the outside world, it'd just be a simple farm, while to them, it was a massive farm with all sorts of unique plants, some of which were...somewhat sentient.
"Oooh, I've got some ideas! There's this really cool man eating pla-" *KNOCK* KNOCK* *KNOCK*
Kara was cut off as knocking sounded on the door, causing them all to turn. Raising an eyebrow at who it was, Talia looked to the girls who nodded, before walking to the door and opening it, finding Lois standing there.
"Remember the offer of working with us you gave? Well...how'd you like to become a reporter?"
Talia looked at the woman before slowly smirking, as she spoke.
"Oh? Tell me more"
