The woman’s lithe figure walked straight to the sofa in the back of the room, then carefully picked up the child, who didn’t stir despite the commotion that had occurred. She let the boy’s head rest on her shoulder as she turned to Henry, with a slight tilt of her head.
“My job here is done. I’ll excuse myself. Hope we don’t meet ever again.”
