“Just forget about that for now. How’re you doing?” Joke asked.

“Super great. I feel refreshed like I’m standing on the Alps.”

“You’re far from refreshed, Tid.” Joke sighed.

“Then why do you ask when you already know the answer, bastard?”

It seemed that the satisfaction gained from annoying his friend brought a wide grin to his face, despite the severely damaged body. At that moment, Madame Fon came over to join them.

“If you have the energy to joke around like this, then I guess you can handle another punch?”

“No, no more. My arms are already out of commission, Ma’am.”

“Obviously. Your arms are broken, brat.”

A tired smile appeared on her face as Madame Fon adjusted the blanket over Artit’s body, trying to keep his body warmer.

“Good thing you came, Joke. My ears are numb from mom’s nagging. Can you go talk to her to cool her down?”

“Serve you right.” Joke said. “If you were in a better state, auntie would probably hit you in the head already.”
