At 8 in the morning...

Valerie enjoyed the morning atmosphere with her mother, Leonne, and Daniel while waiting for the school bus.

"Damian came too late last night. Doesn't he know that by that time, Daniel is already asleep?" Dana asked, dipping a croissant into her coffee.

"I think he knows," replied Valerie lazily, her gaze fixed ahead. "He came for me."

"I know that, he's looking for you, not Daniel," added Leonne, advising Valerie. "If you still like him, you should just marry him before he gets taken by someone else. You'll regret it."

Valerie fell silent, contemplating Leonne's words.

Dana smiled, seemingly pleased with Leonne's explanation. "Your little sister even knows what's best for you," she said.
