บท 85: The offer

"I am Maxixe Fairhurst, cousin to the Lord of Darkfell, just state your price and my cousin will pay the amount, no questions asked," said Maxixe. 

"Surely you lie, you look nothing like the famous and prestigious poet Lord Darkfell, he is a blonde hair blue eyed giant, while you are more like an overgrown leprechaun with your smallness of body, that raven black hair and green eyes."

"Well clearly I don't have the luck of the Irish or I wouldn't have been captured so shamefully. You won't find my pot of gold staring at the bulge in my pants, keep your eyes on my face I ask respectfully."

The way the boy had been eyeing Maxixe like a slab of meat for inspection from the moment he walked into his prison cell made Maxixe most uncomfortable. 

Aubrey sighed, this uncouth man was making it difficult for him to work with much less feel an ounce of sympathy for his situation.
