When Ian, Kell and the rest of the group arrived, they were greeted with the sight of adventurers equipped with well designed and detailed armor.
"This is the Crimson Blood," Mr. Grul introduced them to the group. "They will be your examiners for your promotion,"
"Don't worry, rookies," the big man gave them a smile, one that seem to be reassuring yet Ian could not help but compared it to a venomous snake, "we will make sure you learn how hard it is to be an adventurer,"
"Give me one of the girls, leader. I will be gentle with them," if it is not for them being their examiners, the Crimson Blood would have lost one of their members at the moment.
"Enough, you should know what each member specialized in. I already gave you the information," Mr. Grul reminded the Crimson Blood.
"Don't worry sir. We already prepared for the exam. We only need the arrangement of the examinee," the leader exclaimed.
"We already have it here, so you only need to send the examiner according to the list," the leader accepted it graciously before giving orders to his men.

"So, I will fight a girl, and a fellow mage at that," a man with a crooked nose exclaimed, looking at his opponent while holding back from ogling.
'Those are some nice racks. Maybe I can pretend to accidently touch them,' if Ian heard his thought, there won't be enough to fill a vial, much less for a coffin.
"Begin," as the mage begin to cast his spell, he was interrupted by a sudden chill.
'Where did that wind come from?' he thought. He could see the shadow in the ground so there is no chance of cloud, not to mention rain. A brief look at his opponent reveal the origin of the wind.
'How fast can she cast?!'
Fiona did not hear what she thought. If she did, she will say something along the line of Ian cast faster. She cast another spell, Flame Ground, causing the ground to burn.
The mage yelp, feeling the flame burning through his boots. As he tried to run away from the spell area, Fiona cast Arcane Shot, which is avoided by the mage. Before he could stand his ground, consecutive Arcane Shot were launched at him.
The mage could barely block it before he was overwhelmed, being send sprawling on the ground.
"Winner, Candidate Fiona,"

The next person, a ranger, scoffed. The mage had always been among the weakest among the members of Crimson Blood. Maybe the other will see it and kick him out of the team.
For now, he need to beat up another woman, an archer, possibly a ranger like him. For this, he used his bow and arrows. His opponent is the same.
"Begin," he unleashed a barrage of arrows, ready to see it skewered the woman. To his shock, the woman dodged it with ease, dancing around the arrows. As he pull out another arrow, the woman did the same before firing her arrow.
Her arrow hit his hands, causing him to release the arrow. Muttering a curse, he jumped backward, ready to pull another one.
Yet, as he did so, a barrage of arrows rained upon him. With him being in the air, there is no possible way for him to dodge. The only thing he can do is pray none will hit him.
-x-
"Ouch," Ian winced.
"All of the arrows hit him,"
-x-
The fighter narrowed his eyes. For two of the weakest members to be defeated. They don't even last for more than a 10 minutes.
But not him. He will make sure his opponent will not last more than 10 minutes.
-x-
"Aargh!" everyone winced as they watched the fighter, the male one, being send into the wall.
"How long did the test last?" Lisa asked.
"About 1o seconds, probably less," Ian answered.
"What I want to know is why did she mercilessly beat up that guy?" Fiona wondered.
"Ian, what did you do?" Lisa asked the big man.
"Why do you think it's my fault," he tried to defend himself.
"I see you whispering something to Ana, so spill," Lisa pushed her lover.
"Well, I may have told her to imagine the opponent have my face," everyone keep starting at him, "and think the opponent said the training will continue until she beat me," everyone winced at that. While Ana loved Kell, she did not love the harsh training.
"Yeah, he will need a healer,"
-x-
"You our hope. Don't lose like the others," Jale told the second-strongest member of the Crimson Blood, a mage, except he is much stronger than the one who get beaten up by Fiona.
"Of course, Mr. Jale. I will make sure we will not lose face to adventurers from the boony,"
-x-
"Begin," the mage chanted a spell and unleashed it.
"Oh, Fireball," Ian exclaimed as he block the spell with ease.
The mage gritted his teeth as he use more spell, Fireball, Lightning Blast, Water Bomb, and many others.
Yet, Ian easily blocked it, not even bothering to fight back.
"Fight back you coward!" the mage yelled, losing his patience.
"I am a support mage, you dumbass," Ian retorted. The mage almost lose his mind before his eyes feel on the other side mage, namely the female one.
"Look like you can only hide behind your female teammate," Ian stared at him, unimpressed.
"Maybe you just let her do all the work," another bored look.
"A bitch like her better join a party like mine. I can even show her how real man do it, in adventure and in bed," a vein burst as Ian have a deadly smile on his face.
"I am a support mage-" multiple Arcane Shot formed, "-but,"
-x-
"This is going to hurt," Kell exclaimed, as he watched the other side mage looked at the forming Arcane Shot, which Kell believed reach one hundred or even more.
"Ian will not kill him," as the Arcane Shot were unleashed, Fiona began to have second thought, "probably,"
Scream of pain echoed before the man fell on the ground, looking more like one giant bruise than a prestigious adventurer.
-x-
"Looks like Kell will fight the leader," Ana exclaimed, watching the fight with a hint of excitement.
"You just want to see Kell beat the other side up," Lisa commented.
"Of course, you remember how rude they are," she pointed out.
"Of course, just tone down the excitement. We all want to see him beat the leader up,"
The two side looked at each other. When the referee begin the fight, the leader charged at Kell, who remained where he is. The two clashed.
-x-
"Well, that is quick," Lisa exclaimed. They only saw the leader charged at Kell, who swing his sword so quickly before the other party fell on the floor, bruises already forming all over.
