บท 10: Just A What?!!
Slowly, Xavian opened his eyes.
He could see clear forest ahead of him and he was laying on the foot of a gigantic tree.
His neck was very sore and his back ached a bit, but other than that, he was completely fine, which was wrong considering the events of yesterday.
He felt over his body, not finding any injuries whatsoever, not even the cracked spine that hurt like hell yesterday was there.
'B-But how is this possible!'
Xavian thought as he checked himself over.
Remembering the events of yesterday, he was positively sure that he should have severe internal injuries.
While thinking about himself though, a beep followed by a floating message appeared before his eyes.
[You have Unsealed your sealed bloodline.]
'What the?!!'
[You have received the {... scanning...} System]
'Ok, this definitely isn't normal.'
[You have Dhampir blood running through your veins]
'The heck?!!!'
[Congratulations, User has activated the Dhampir System]
[You are now a Level1 Dhampir]
"I'm a what now?!"
Xavian found it very hard to believe.
Just yesterday, he had been attacked by his boss who turned out to be a vampire, and today, he was being told by magical floating words that he was a Dhampir, whatever the hell that was.
"The Briefcase!!" Xavian suddenly realized.
Something had come out of the Briefcase and did something to him.
He began to search the whole forest but could not find it anywhere.
Xavian was quite a fan of system novels and knew the procedure to check ones stats.
'User Status' he thought, half hoping that nothing would happen and everything was just a bad dream.
However, another beep resonated, followed by more floating words as a kind of system interface appeared.

Xavian wasn't a gamer, he couldn't afford one to begin with anyway, but by watching Bob play, he had a general understanding of the System Interface.
Apparently, he had died from blood loss and multiple injuries, then whatever lay in that silver briefcase had somehow revived him and unsealed the Dhampir bloodline he had.
He never really saw his birth parents, so maybe one of them was a Dhampir or a vampire.
Stepping out of the tree shade, and into the warm sunlight, Xavian could feel a little bit stronger.
'i thought vampires got weaker in the sun?' the blonde teenager thought as he moved about in the sunlight a bit, finding out that it did not affect him at all.
The System greeted him with yet another tab, confirming his thoughts;
[As a Dhampir, where the Vampires fail, you triumph!]

"I have to see Max."
