Noah was called away suddenly leaving me with Janet in the office, he said the matter required urgency and asked us to hold on for him while he finished up with it quickly and returned to us. He was in the middle of explaining how I make decisions without consulting him and I was curious to listen to it too.

"So," Janet said after a while, I noticed she had been trying to get my attention since Noah left "We could make small talk or you could tell me about yourself, how you grew up or something until the King comes back. How about that?"

"No!" I said bluntly without looking up from my phone "The only conversation I will have with you is during these sessions and of course questions related to what you're being paid to do. Aside from that, please fuck off!"
