บท 46: Was the lingerie on purpose?

Selene POV

"Shit!" I froze as my eyes widened and colour drained from my face.

"Selene!" Noah called out again walking into the bedroom. 

I felt a lump in my throat as my heart raced, and I turned to look at Xavier nervously. He didn't seem perturbed. If anything, he was still fumbling for me. Pushing him away from him, I grabbed the first cloth I saw and slipped it on. 

"What are you doing?" Xavier turned to me with annoyance. 

"We cannot let him find us like this," I whispered hoping my voice was not loud. 

"Why?" Xavier said adamantly "You're my wife,". 

"We've been through this, Xavier," I said with gritted teeth "Put on some clothes and make yourself invisible. I'm going to go out there, make sure you don't make a noise,". 

"That's bullshit!" he exploded as anger flashed in his eyes "You know…"
