บท 50: Chapter 50 : Is This What Being a Superhero Is Like?

Indeed.

The owner of the diary often ridiculed Tony Stark, which annoyed him greatly at times.

But to be honest, Tony Stark still valued the "spoilers" in the diary.

Especially this time when he was kidnapped.

Tony Stark had basically confirmed the accuracy of the diary's spoilers, certain that what was described in the diary was real.

Under such circumstances.

He was even less willing to lose such an important source of "peeking into the future."

So after careful consideration, Tony Stark decided not to reveal Zhou Cheng's identity for the time being.

Thus, he nonchalantly followed Zhou Cheng's footsteps, alongside Yinsen.

They navigated through the winding corridors, turning here and there, making their way out.

The entire journey was quiet, with no Ten Rings terrorists coming to intercept them, and they smoothly reached the outside of the cave.

Finally, they were out!

Tony Stark and Yinsen couldn't help but feel a bit excited, as if they had been reborn.

But the next moment.

Their gaze unintentionally swept over to the Ten Rings base outside, and they were both stunned.

Looking out.

They saw a horrifyingly large crater at the center of the base, with numerous cracks radiating out from it.

They covered the entire base.

It was astonishing!

What kind of force could have created such a scene?

More importantly.

Looking over the entire crater, there was no gunpowder smoke at all!

In other words, the crater was not caused by an explosion.

It was created by some other "non-explosive" means.

And even with Tony Stark and Yinsen's highly advanced knowledge, they could tell at a glance.

That the crater seemed to have been caused by a purely physical force!

But how could this be possible?

Not only that.

This whole place, aside from the flattened buildings, vehicles, corpses everywhere, bloodstains, and such, had no other people at all!

It was as if.

Aside from the masked man, who seemed to be the owner of the diary, no one else had come!

But how could that be possible?

Taking down a secret base of the Ten Rings single-handedly is simply not something one person could do.

That's just too far-fetched.

This masked man must have other companions!

But even so, another huge question arose.

What kind of force could carry out such a level of operation and then evacuate so completely within such a short period of time?

Leave without a trace?

This speed was just completely unreasonable, wasn't it?

Moreover.

You evacuate so cleanly, not even leaving anyone to help these two rescued targets leave?

Are they supposed to leave on foot?

This evacuation made no sense at all!

It just didn't add up.

Yinsen could only feel a huge headache, completely unable to understand what was happening.

As for Tony Stark by his side?

He became even more certain of his earlier guess.

Only a super-soldier with extraordinary powers could make sense of what was before them.

Only superheroes could pull off such inconceivable acts!

Only superheroes could single-handedly sweep an armed base!

It seemed that the situation was pretty clear.

The "masked man" who had eliminated all of the Ten Rings terrorists and saved him and Yinsen was most likely Zhou Cheng, the owner of the diary."Of course."

Just this one doubt in front of him wasn't enough for Tony Stark to make such a judgment.

However, when you add the other various doubts, the playboy felt he had enough reason to be suspicious.

"Wait here for a bit."

"Our helicopter will be here soon."

Zhou Cheng paid no mind to the reactions of Tony Stark and the others.

He casually took out his phone and got in contact with Wade Wilson, who was waiting nearby.

Rumbling!

Soon after.

With the sound of helicopter blades spinning rapidly, a helicopter landed right in front of Tony Stark and the others.

Clang!

The cabin door swung open, and Wade Wilson jumped out of the helicopter with flair.

"Shit!"

"What happened here?"

Just a glance at the scene was enough to shock Wade Wilson profoundly.

Compared to Tony Stark and Yinsen.

He was very much aware that this rescue mission, from start to finish, involved only Zhou Cheng.

In other words.

This guy had single-handedly, and in such a short amount of time, cleared out a whole armed base!

This was just like a joke!

You have to understand, Deadpool himself came from Canadian Special Forces.

Just one look and he could tell what kind of firepower was needed to clear out an armed base of this level.

It definitely wasn't something one person could do.

But now.

Zhou Cheng did it all by himself.

Who exactly is this Zhou Cheng?

What kind of monster had he come to know?

Thinking back to when he first attempted to use force to coerce such a monster, Wade Wilson felt a chill of fear.

That was a death wish!

"Alright, our ride is here!"

Zhou Cheng's voice broke through Wade Wilson's thoughts.

Zhou Cheng casually introduced Wade Wilson to Tony Stark and Yinsen.

Wade Wilson didn't dilly-dally; he walked up to Tony Stark with panache.

"Stark, I'm here to take you home! Touched? Excited? Wait a second..."

While being flashy, Wade Wilson's gaze fell on Yinsen, "And who's this? Why is there another one?"

"Just take them both!"

It wasn't a good time to explain anything, so Zhou Cheng casually called out to Wade Wilson and then got into the helicopter himself.

As if.

He was the real rescue target, and the two actual rescue targets were just inconsequential characters.

Shrugging, Wade Wilson didn't say much more; in fact, he didn't care in the slightest.

After Zhou Cheng boarded the helicopter and sat down, he nonchalantly beckoned for Tony Stark and the others to get on the aircraft.

Rumbling!

Very soon.

The familiar sound of helicopter blades filled the air again, as the helicopter ascended with great thrust.

Tony Stark tilted his head, looking through the window at the armed base growing more and more distant, his heart full of complexity.

This hellish place, for him, would remain in his heart forever.

Unforgettable for the rest of his life.

In just a month and a half here, he had experienced too much, lost too much, and also gained a lot.

Tony Stark knew.

Although he came out bouncing alive, he was no longer the same man he used to be.
