บท 44: Choked

Back in the manor, the place was stilled by tranquility. A gentle breeze wafted in the air, carrying the fragrance of tropical flowers that had been planted in the garden recently.

Hermione sat in the dining. Eating her breakfast alone.

Inwardly, she pondered on where Lloyd could be. She hadn't seen him this morning.

"His Highness has urgent matters" Oliver had informed her.

She could only sit alone and eat her food in silence. Her appetite for food was gone.

She noticed a difference in the taste.

Hermione would have preferred the ones she ate when Lloyd was present. It was incredibly prepared. She could bite her fingers eating it.

Today's meal wasn't mouthwatering. She was barely forcing herself to eat.

She lifted the cup to her mouth to drink out of the water, when she caught a glimpse of Emily making her way into the dining.
