At the feel of the warm water on her skin, Keagan ended up relaxing too much. She leaned against the side of the tub and closed her eyes. In the darkness, however, she began to remember how she was looking for Justine, only to be taken to the quarters of the Knights of Allard. She hugged her body as she recalled the safety Ouroboros and Wren had given her.
Tears fell from her eyes again. She didn't know how much longer she had to wait for Wren to show up. Would Wren still save her from this?
"Master, you didn't have to…" "Attend to the other person. He's awake again."
Keagan opened her eyes when the faint candlelight from the bathroom was supplemented by the light coming from the bedroom. She then saw how a shadow cast on her, especially when a hand reached inside the bathtub. The master poured a reddish liquid from a vial into the bathwater that turned muddy from all the dirt on Keagan's body.
