Suizi had thought that Li Youcai would tie both children up together.

But what she saw inside the pavilion was not what she had expected.

Li Youcai had Jiaojiao tied up with a rope, one hand gripping a knife and pointing it at Jiaojiao's neck.

Jiaojiao's clothes were intact, her mouth was gagged, but she seemed to be in good spirits.

Upon hearing Suizi's voice, the little girl let out a series of mews, seemingly telling Suizi not to approach.

In the dim light, Suizi and Yu Jingting both sighed in relief, seeing that she did not appear to be hurt.

However, apart from Jiaojiao, Suizi saw no sign of Xiao Pang.

Her heart skipped a beat.

Could it be that Xiao Pang attempted to save Jiaojiao, provoked Li Youcai and was silenced by him?!

Whilst her own child's safety was decided, she absolutely did not want to see another child get hurt trying to save her own.
