บท 150: Waltz with Eternity

There was a long pause between all of them. Both men were carefully processing what Eternity had just said, while she waited patiently for them to ask more questions and clarifications. It was only after a while that Evan broke the silence.

"What?" Evan demanded once he finally snapped from his initial shock. "You have to be kidding me."

Eternity shook her head, and a strand of hair fell astray on her face. She immediately tucked it behind her ear so the two men in the room could see the seriousness in her eyes.

"Why would I be kidding about something that could save your life, Evan?" She pointed out.

"I... I can't do that!" Evan argued frantically. "I won't do that to you! I could never think of hurting you, much less destroying you!"

"Why wouldn't you?" Eternity frowned as if he had just said the stupidest thing she had ever heard.

"Because I love you, Eternity!"
