Ariana's mind swirled with thoughts of Ethan and the mysterious alpha that the woman mentioned in the journal. As she contemplated this, she pondered the connection between her birthmark and the woman from the journal.

With furrowed brows, she mused, "Could my birthmark have anything to do with this woman? Is there a possibility that I am a descendant of her?"

A knock on the door shattered her contemplation, and Ethan's voice pierced through the silence, "Ariana, are you awake? Can I come in?"

Panicking, she swiftly concealed the journal beneath her pillow, veiling herself in the security of the blanket, and feigning sleep. She couldn't risk him discovering the contents of the journal and unraveling the questions swirling in her mind.
