บท 14: 14. Academy Invitation!
4 Years have passes since Yuru turned 10 and grand celebration was held. And since then she has been spending her time at the lab tirelessly working on creating spells completely from scratch. Her main goal is creating Regeneration Spell that can even regenerate lost limbs. She hasn't been successful in that just yet. But she has been using regeneration on monsters to test if the spell works. And today's the day she will finally try using it on herself.
And to do that she will cut off her left arm if the spells works a new arm should grow if not she needs more testing and refinements.
(So this is it, my most important test. Which is on myself. Maybe this is a bad idea and should probably test it on prisoners before I do it myself. But I've made up my mind so there's no going back now.)
(So here I go, I will chop off my hand and use the spell to regrow it. But if the spell doesn't work it might take me several weeks to refine it or worse case scenario that I don't want to think about will be the spell never working)
(But well I've already made up my mind... So here goes nothing... 3...)
Yuru picks up the iron axe she brought for this, meanwhile Nate was making his way to here to inform something to Yuru.
(2... 1...)
Nate entres the room, as Yuru eyes closed swings the axe with full force cutting her arm. Nate at door watching as blood splashed on him...
Yuru screams as loud as her voice could go... Then calms herself down... As Nate worryingly asks his sister what she's doing.
"YURU WHAT ARE YOU DOING...? WHY DID YOU CUT OFF YOUR ARM...???"
Yuru in pain completely ignors Nate, not even realising he's there.
But now for the important but, Yuru uses the spell on her arm. At first it looked like it was working as it stopped bleeding and then recovered the wound. But it stopped at that it didn't regrow. Her arm didn't regrow as she anticipated.
She screams internally. Then calms down and sees Nate standing besides her worrying about her.
"Ohh! Hey Brother didn't see you there..." Yuru says nonchalantly acting normal. "WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY THAT, WHY DID YOU CUT OFF YOUR ARM..." Nate not at all calms shouts. "Calm down first and then I'll explain..." Yuru says, Nate takes a deep breath and sighs.

"So you're working on a regeneration spell, and to test it you cut off your arm. But when you used the spell it didn't work." Nate trying his best to comprehend the situation. "So you failed the spell. Now what? You're going to live without a arm for rest of your life?"
"Not quite, now that I've cut off my hand I can use the spell again and again until it grows back. And I'm confident that the spell only needs some adjustments to work properly." Yuru explains to Nate.
"So it's not all over I'm relieved at that..." Nate says as he calms down. "But, brother why are you here. You're don't usually visit the lab. Do you need something from me?" Yuru asked. Nate realises he was forgetting something. "Gasp! I totally forgot, I came here to call you as mother and father wanted to speak with you about the Academy." Nate said.
(About academy, I have told them I don't need to attend academy I already know or am learning about magic by myself. And I don't think anyone can teach me about Pure Magic)
"Just tell them I don't need to attend academy." Yuru says as she struggles to ties up her arm with bandage. "It's not about that, I don't think they were talking about sending you to academy it's something else." Nate says as he grabs her hand and ties the bandage for herself.
(It's something else...)

Yuru went to the hall where she was summoned, she was wearing a big cloak as to hide her hand as she knew she will get a scolding if her parents knew. She looks at her father and asks "Father do you need something to do with me?" Her father looks at her and points towards someone. "Yuru this the Head Professor from the well known Magic Academy. He is here to speak to you."
The professor stood up and bows down Infront of Yuru and says "Princess Yuru it's an honour to meet you. I have been wanting to meet you for so long as I heard rumours about you. Princess Yuru let me first ask you this question."
(Wow! He is acting like a total creep. What does he need or want from me...)
"Princess Yuru is it true that you have mastered Pure Magic? If so please enlighten me with your knowledge as I am also a Pure Magic user who has been trying to learn it for years but have only reached above basic level."
(He totally speaks like a creep..."
Yuru looks looks at the Professor and then looks at her father then says. "So, are you asking me to teach you Pure Magic so you can reach master level?"
The professor ponders and says. "Hmm.. I'm already past an age where magic would benefit me, there is nothing I could achieve by mastering pure magic now." He looks at Yuru, "But at the academy there are individuals with Pure magic who need guidance and help. They will certainly use Pure Magic in more beneficial way then I could."
"So I'm asking you, Princess Yuru. Teach those individuals how to master Pure Magic, I am well aware of how selfish this request sounds and there's nothing I could give you that you already don't own. But there is no one else who I know, who has mastered Pure magic as good as you have."
(Wait... Wait... Wait... Is he for real, this man is asking me teach Pure Magic at his academy, what do father thinks about this.)
Yuru looks at her father, and sees him overjoyed to know her daughter was approached by the Academy Head Professor.
(There's no point. He already looks overwhelmed. I don't think declining is an option here. But what about mother what does she thinks...)
Yuru looks at her mother and feels the quite communication, "This is a good opportunity for you to learn about society. Do not decline it, otherwise..."
(She's also no hope, I have to accept it. But becoming a teacher at age 14 will the students even obey me???)
"Fine, I understand you want me to teach your students at your academy Pure Magic and help them master it." Yuru says to the professor.
Professor filled with happiness and excitement says. "Thanks you Princess Yuru for accepting my selfish request. If you may you can start teaching from tomorrow and don't worry you won't be alone at teaching you will be aiding another professor. Who generally teaches Pure Magic."
