As the secretary exited the office, Ruth Dawn immediately picked up the discarded contract, a faint smile playing at the corners of her mouth.
"It seems the ingenious plan worked; they all fell for it," Ruth chuckled.
Meanwhile, in Mrs. Cole's courtyard.
"James Blair has made his move, William, your plan is halfway successful," Mrs. Cole cheerily approached, bringing a dish of snack for William.
William crouched against the wall, observing the ants migrating on the ground.
"What are you looking at?"
She too came over, crouching next to William.
William watched the busy ants with seriousness, "They have been migrating for three days now, the ants migrate, anticipating rain."
"When will this rain come?"
Mrs. Cole chuckled and shook her head, "It's already autumn, if it does rain, it's going to be a downpour."
"A downpour is nice, it could wash away many traces," William stated randomly.
