บท 771: Grim Conditions

"Liar! You're nothing but a big, filthy liar, Shye Crowley!" 

Maia's angry voice echoed across the metallic room as she desperately tried to destroy the locked door.

"I see now—this was all a trap! Set by my own brother to capture me!"

Knowing that Maia might do something reckless, like hurting herself, if he allowed her to continue her irrational behavior, Shye took action. 

He appeared behind his little sister and delivered a precise chop to her neck, knocking her out.

Alicia and Maverick quickly understood that this was the best course of action, and they would have done the same themselves if Shye hadn't acted first.

Of course, Shye caught Maia as she was falling, temporarily carrying her on his back.

"S-Shye, has the enemy already discovered you're part of our organization?" Maverick asked anxiously.
