"Miss Wendy, what's the meaning of this?" Oriel asked with a cold voice as he retreated.

There was no way in hell he could destroy all fifteen layers of barrier in the last three seconds he had left before his spell restriction skill timed out, so he decided that it would be better for him to retreat for now and assess the situation.

Meanwhile, Wendy's head slightly tilted to the right, a confused expression emerging on her face.

What did she mean by what?

Well, the beautiful priestess' reaction to the question was rather understandable, as Oriel had stupidly assumed on his own that Wendy was simply giving Fanfir a free win.

In reality, she planned to win. 

This was why she was confused by her Fanfirian opponent's sudden words of appreciation.

Noticing her reaction, Oriel spelled everything out: "Weren't you gracing us with a free win? Why are you making things so difficult?"
