The Grand Line, Skypiea.
"Enel-sama... cough! I'm sorry!" One of the priests lying on the ground next to Ren's crew coughed, struggling to breathe, with intense pain spreading through his battered body.
The rest of the priests began to apologize with ugly faces. All of this happened in front of Ren and his crew, as well as Gan Fall.
"You useless fools!" Enel shouted disdainfully, showing no interest in them. He was filled with anger, furious at them for witnessing how easily they were defeated.
"I don't need weaklings like you in my empire! You will only taint it!" As soon as he said that, a bolt of lightning appeared out of nowhere and headed towards the priests.
Everything happened quickly, then Ren, who was facing Enel, responded swiftly, disappearing from his position using Shave.
*Boom!*
The thunderous roar of the lightning spread throughout the area, creating a large cloud of dust that quickly dispersed.
Enel widened his eyes in shock at the scene before him.
"Wow, wow, so I made an effort to capture them alive, and now you want to kill them in front of me?" Ren, who had faced the lightning with his body, smiled.
His body turned completely black thanks to Armament Haki, and his defensive clothes didn't suffer any scratches, so he looked as he was before.
Ohm, the priest who was about to be obliterated by Enel's lightning, looked at Ren with deep fear and astonishment, as Gan Fall did, who fell to the ground in a comedic scene.
"You!! You ant who doesn't know the greatness of this god!!" Enel shouted some cliché phrases, but in reality, he felt extreme shock.
Why didn't his divine powers affect him?
He didn't have a chance to think about it further because he sensed a severe danger. His eyes widened to the size of pins, and he turned into lightning before disappearing from his place.
But before he disappeared in a second, Ren appeared again and waved his sword.
.
"One Sword Style: Death Blade!"
.
*Whoosh!*
*Boom!*
Ren had turned Versa into a sword a while ago, so a 10-meter-long blade shot towards Enel. Ren narrowed his eyes slightly when he saw Enel flicker and disappear from his place.
*Boom!*
The blade, saturated with Armament Haki and the strength of Blood Metal, didn't cut Enel, but it cut the ground and a few trees in the forest, creating an empty square.
"Nice reaction," Ren suddenly became excited about this battle.
Since he wasn't Luffy, he couldn't be immune to Enel's Devil Fruit, but his Rubber resilience could be compensated with the Armament Haki he developed day by day with the help of Haki Guide.
Ren had a lot of information about Enel's power. He had read several articles about his strength, and all that information was stored in his photographic memory.
For example, Enel had strong Observation Haki, stronger than his own. He could predict the opponent's movements before they made them.
It could be considered a weaker version of Future Sight.
When he mentioned Future Sight, Ren suddenly remembered a character with a large mouth.
In addition to the strong Observation Haki, Enel could manipulate metals, especially gold. He could reshape his golden staff into anything he wanted thanks to the power of his Devil Fruit.
His Lightning Fruit also gave him incredible speed, faster than Ren.
But Ren relied on endurance. Enel wouldn't be able to avoid his attacks, and he would eventually tire out.
He didn't really move at the speed of lightning in the literal sense, or else Ren would have been killed long ago.
Moving at lightning speed was theoretically possible for a user of the Lightning Fruit, but the human brain couldn't think at lightning speed and transmit orders to the limbs. As long as a Lightning Fruit user didn't find a way to develop his brain to this level, traveling at lightning speed would be just a dream.
Ren refocused on the battlefield, which had now become wider thanks to his attack, and looked at Enel, who was staring at him in shock and disdain.
"This attack... would have killed me!" Enel thought mentally. If he hadn't been fast enough, his body would have been cut into pieces!
Supposedly, he was immune to swords and guns, but his mantra demanded an immediate escape! Even his immortality wouldn't be useful!
[A/N: Enel believes that Elemental feature of his Devil Fruit, Logia, is some kind of immortality.]
Gan Fall looked at all this with increasing shock. First, this person managed to emerge unscathed against Enel's divine lightning, then he moved so quickly that he couldn't catch up and attacked Enel!
When he saw dozens of trees being cut down easily, and Enel's serious expression, hope grew stronger in Gan Fall's heart!
Conis watched the battle with concentration. She hated Enel for killing her father and oppressing her people. She wanted Ren to kill him and rid them of him!
Returning to Enel, he quickly regained his arrogant behavior, but there was a hint of caution as he looked at Ren.
"Even if you're stronger than other ants, you'll still Just an ant!" He shouted loudly, then in the next moment, he grabbed his golden staff and attacked Ren.
*Screech!*
*Boom!*
*Screech!*
*Clang!*
The clang of iron collision echoing around could heared. Conis stared at the two figures in awe. Ren covered his hand with armament haki as he countered Enel's staff.
Enel hissed, then in the next moment, utilized his Devil Fruit power to increase the heat of the golden staff, smoke emanating from it, but Ren remained unfazed by the heat.
"Child's play," Ren sneered mockingly, intensifying the Armament haki on his hand as he glanced at the hot golden rod aimed at his face.
"I've got you!" Enel smirked wickedly, striking his staff forcefully at his opponent's face, but his expression shifted the next moment.
"Release my staff!" he yelled, trying to pry his weapon from Ren's grip, but to no avail. The physical strength difference between them wasn't significant, yet it wasn't negligible either.
"Of course, I'll return it as long as you wish," Ren calmly replied, tightening his grip on the staff and lifting it in the air, Enel with it.
"Damn it!" Enel cursed, contemplating letting go of the staff but quickly retracted the thought; this was his powerful weapon, and he couldn't relinquish it just like that!
*Boom!*
*Boom!*
He didn't have a chance to think of a way to escape the situation. He was thrown to the ground while Ren still held the staff, slamming it into the ground alongside Enel.
"Argh!" an angry cry erupted from him. He didn't feel pain as he was a Logia user, but he felt humiliated being manipulated like this in front of everyone!
Ren released the staff, then grabbed Versa and was about to attack again, but Enel's enraged voice interrupted him.
.
"Divine Thunder: 100,000,000 Volts!"
.
*Zap!*
*Boom!*
A thick bolt of lightning surged from Enel's palm towards the seemingly calm Ren, taking only a second before the attack struck Ren's body.
*Boom!*
"Captain!" Zala cried out in concern, then Nami glanced at her with a hint of annoyance and said, "Don't you trust the captain? Just watch and see what happens."
Zala fell silent, not daring to reply to Nami, realizing she was a newcomer to the crew, and Nami had seniority over her, not to mention, she was the strongest after Ren.
It seemed Conis and Gan Fall's expressions relaxed upon hearing Nami's words, then they quickly shifted their gaze back to the battlefield.
There, a dome of blue lightning and fire energy formed, shattering the ground beneath where Ren stood. The lightning energy disappeared quickly, replaced by a cloud of dust.
Enel laughed maniacally as he looked at the scene in front him. His arrogant smirk returned to his face, but it froze in place when he used his mantra to see what happened to his enemy.
"Stubborn!" A shiny black hand emerged from the dust pile, not empty but holding a red gun with numerous dragon patterns. One of the hand's fingers quickly pressed the trigger.
____
"What are these explosions, Aisa?!" Raki exclaimed in panic as she listened to the numerous explosions happening nearby.
They were heading towards the battle between Enel and Ren. Aisa had spotted them about to enter the fray earlier and informed the Shandians.
The mood in Shandia was somber due to Wyper's death; many strong warriors shed tears, though Raki and Aisa didn't.
But they had to fight to reclaim their land. So they suppressed their grief and headed towards the battlefield Aisa pointed to. They had to kill Enel today! To reclaim their land and avenge Wyper!
Shandian warriors were led by Braham and Kamakiri, while Rakki was in the lead carrying Aisa, leaping from tree to tree.
Aisa quickly responded to Raki's inquiry, "It's because of that blue-haired man! Enel is getting beaten like a child!" she said in shock as she watched the battle using her mantra.
Shandian warriors were shocked by Aisa's words but their excitement returned to their faces, and they increased their speed. They had to cooperate with the man fighting Enel and assist him!
Unfortunately, they didn't know their foolish thoughts might lead to their demise. They would only be a burden...
____
Returning to the devastated battlefield, several holes could be seen in the cracked ground, and many Upper Yard trees were destroyed.
"Pant... Pant... bastard" A weak curse escaped Enel's tired mouth. He looked at Ren, who fired another red bullet and transformed into lightning to evade it.
*Boom!* Taking advantage of the explosion's momentum, Enel decided to launch a counterattack. He transformed his golden staff into a serrated spear with three sharp blades on its head. This was Enel's deadly weapon—Nonosama Bō!
"I can do that too," Ren said coolly, then transformed Versa from a pistol into a spear resembling Enel's.
*Clang!* The weapons clashed, then Ren's physical strength prevailed over Enel's, forcing him to retreat after being kicked.
"Aaah!!" Enel screamed as his body flew like a broken kite, shattering several trees before crashing to the ground. Before he could suppress the pain, he felt his mantra warning him of imminent danger.
"Shit!!" Enel roared loudly as he found himself in an unfavorable position. A shiny black foot descended upon him, about to strike his skull and crush his face!
*buzz!*
Enel transformed back into lightning and escaped from Ren's foot.
*Boom!!* Ren's foot smashed the ground where Enel had been standing just a second ago. He grimaced when he realized his attack had missed once again.
'His speed in escaping is beyond my Observation Haki. He has a stronger Haki than mine, so he has an advantage in this regard... Strange, Enel wasn't this powerful in the Canon, was he?', Ren thought in his mind as he held Versa, still in its serrated spear form, and pursued Enel.
"Enel's strengths are clear, Observation Haki and Devil Fruit. The Devil Fruit complements his Observation Haki, making him adept at escaping danger... But how did Luffy manage to defeat him?" Ren was lost in thought, but his body didn't stop attacking Enel and putting pressure on him.
He hadn't been serious until now; he wanted to experience fighting a user of a stronger Devil Fruit to better understand the power of the Goro Goro no Mi. This fruit would soon belong to him or one of his girls after all.
His spear clashed with Enel's, pushing him back again. Ren found a gap in Enel's defense, and it seemed the latter was not in a position to escape. He sighed and didn't use Armament Haki on his spear, cutting through Enel's body.
The spear passed through his body without causing any damage. Enel, who had previously thought he was captured, was now ecstatic and thought to himself, "He can't hurt me!"
'If I didn't want an interesting experiment, I would have killed him a long time ago...'Ren scoffed mentally as he saw Enel gaining more confidence.
'Luffy couldn't defeat someone as powerful as Enel without learning any type of Haki. Hell, he hadn't even learned Gear Second back then. Could it be that 'the world' itself helped him?', Ren pondered.
Ren kicked Enel in the stomach again, watching him crumple to the ground. He quickly jumped into the air and covered his foot with Armament Haki.
As he was in the air, preparing to strike Enel, he thought to himself, 'I've read about such plots in my previous life, 'the will of the world' choosing the destined child to control this world. And undoubtedly, that hero in this case is Luffy, but he's currently imprisoned. Could an incident occur that would lead to Luffy's liberation? Such plots were common in the stories I've read.' Ren furrowed his brows when thinking about this, realizing he needed to wrap things up in Skypiea quickly and return to Luffy's side to prevent any unexpected incidents from happening.
He also guessed that Garp was about to arrive in Alabasta. The old man loved his grandson and would comply with his conditions; he wouldn't dare do anything to him because he's a Warlord.
'In a world like this, absurd laws can restrict a powerful person like him, pathetic.'
"Aaagh!! Damn it!!" Enel's painful scream snapped him out of his thoughts. He looked at his foot covered in Armament Haki, which had struck Enel's abdominal muscles.
"It seems you couldn't escape this time." Ren lifted his foot off Enel's body and allowed him to transform into lightning and appear several meters away. Enel's eyes were red with anger and pain as he held his abdomen, now marked with a blue bruise.
"Dare to hurt me, I am the god!" he roared in anger, then struck the drums behind his back angrily.
A lightning dragon formed in front of Enel as he pointed his weapon, which had returned to its staff form, towards Ren.
.
"God's Lightning: Lightning Dragon!!"
.
*buzz!!!*
The distinctive sound of lightning spread, and the large blue lightning dragon, formed from pure electrical energy, headed towards Ren at lightning speed.
Within a few seconds, it had already reached Ren.
*clack!!*
*Crash!!*
*Rumble!!*
The girls watched as the lightning dragon struck Ren with various expressions; concern, confidence, mockery, and indifference.
While Conis prayed in her heart for Ren not to die, although she saw him dominating the fight and playing with Enel, that Bastard, who was beaten today like a child by Ren who didn't even scratch.
"Who is this guy... Is he a famous pirate in the Grand Line?" Gan Fall muttered, shocked to see Elsama hovering above them, but before he could do anything, Nami told him that it was her pirate ship. He obviously knew who the pirates were, the lawbreakers on the Blue Sea.
"What power!!"
"We have to kill Enel!!"
New voices reached the battlefield as the Shandians had just arrived and witnessed the scene of Enel destroying the ground, heading towards Ren.
*Boom!*
A deafening sound echoed throughout the area before the surroundings became filled with a blue lightning beam, prompting all spectators to shut their eyes due to the sudden light.
The world fell silent.

------------------------------------------
The Grand Line, Paradise.
Skypiea, In the upper Yard.
*Boom!*
The lightning dragon struck Ren, causing the surrounding areas to explode and spreading fires amidst the burning trees.
Enel smirked wickedly as he witnessed the scene, exhausted to the point of forgetting to activate his own mantra. He had used his demonic fruit power excessively today, making it difficult for him to read the electrical waves in the air.
"Why are you smiling?" A cold voice emerged from the smoke as Enel gazed at Ren, whose clothes were slightly burnt, the upper part of his attire spoiled, but quickly fixed by Ren himself.
Enel could see Ren's blackened body returning to its normal state, while his burnt clothes reverted to their original condition.
"Shit!" Enel cursed loudly, on the verge of fleeing. Escaping this monster, he would take his ship and leave this place!
But to his misfortune, he wasn't given that chance. Ren appeared before him swiftly, using Shave to transform Versa into an iron club.
*Boom!*
Enel's body was thrown backward several meters, the ground shattered from the impact as he fell, coughing up blood.
All the spectators watched with various expressions. Among Ren's crew, the girls looked at him with confidence, pride, and admiration.
Conis sighed with relief, suppressing the shock in her eyes. She had witnessed the supposedly invincible god being struck down to the point of displaying expressions of horror.
"W-wow!" Gan Fall exclaimed with shock and joy. Could this be the end of the tyrannical god's reign that lasted for six years finally?
But what if the one who defeated him is worse...
What will they do? Resist? They didn't even dare to resist Enel, let alone the one who struck him down like a child.
Gan Fall shook his head, trying not to be pessimistic.
"Too powerful!" Raki looked at the battle, or rather, the "bullying," with wide eyes. Was this person playing with Enel like this? She swore she saw the terrifying god's expressions turn to horror and shock before being pitifully struck down.
"Blue-haired oni-tchan is amazing!" Aisa cheered, standing naturally among Ren's crew. No one on this island liked Enel, except for the army of God led by the four priests, who had already been dealt with.
Braham, Kamakiri, and Genbo watched the battle in shock. At this rate, this person didn't need their help, right? So they could only watch from afar as he defeated him, then demand their land back afterward, right?
'I just hope he isn't like Enel,'
Kamakiri thought in his mind, but in the next moment, he saw the blue-haired man turn towards him, look at him briefly, and then... smile? Why?
But immediately after... his eyes went blank.
"Attack Enel with me! Kill him to reclaim Shandora's light!"
"Roar!!"
The warriors of Shandia were confused by Kamakiri's sudden outburst, but the next moment, they attacked with him without hesitation, all aiming their weapons at Enel.
He had already risen and escaped from Ren to a safe distance, or rather, Ren allowed him to escape. He still had his role to play.
"Fire!!" Kamakiri commanded, but the stiffness in his eyes didn't change. No one noticed his strange condition; his voice remained normal, seeming excited to kill the enemy.
*Boom!*
*Bang!*
*Bang!*
*Crash!*
Dozens of bullets and shells pierced Enel's body, but they passed through him without causing harm. A long spear even pierced his head, but Enel just smiled, unharmed.
But he was annoyed, extremely annoyed. Ren had already angered him by striking him badly and not even allowing him to rest. And now, these ants came out of nowhere and dared to attack him?
He gritted his teeth in anger, then the drums sounded behind him.
"Wait, what are you doing?!" Raki screamed, not understanding what these men were doing. Eneel was already on the verge of defeat, why risk their lives at this time? It was completely meaningless!
She didn't attack with them because she was protecting Aisa and couldn't approach the enemy during the process as a little girl. Nor could she leave her alone because Aisa said the remnants of God's army were coming.
---
"God's Lightning: God's Judgment!"
---
Enel screamed madly, while Ren watched the scene coldly. In the next moment, the Eastern Lightning Dragon emerged again, heading towards Kamakiri and the remaining warriors.
"Ahh!!"
"Save me!"
"Dammit!"
The warriors of Shandia screamed as the lightning dragon passed through them, burning and piercing their bodies. Several warriors were killed in an instant while the rest fled.
Braham looked at all this in horror, suddenly regretting obeying Kamakiri's order to attack. He thought Eneel no longer had the power for such an attack, but it turned out he was wrong.
Genbo felt the same way, but what was strange was that Kamakiri's expression remained unchanged; his eyes stayed fixed.
In the next moment, Kamakiri grabbed his dagger and stabbed towards Enel, but the latter scoffed and seized his golden staff, transforming it into a trident.
"Splash!"
"Crack!"
Enel sliced Kamakiri's body in half in an instant, the hot blades of the trident piercing his body and shattering his spine.
Enel didn't mind the blood on his face or his lethal trident; he swiftly pierced Brighum's head with elegance. He used every bit of his remaining physical strength to eliminate these ants.
Since I'm going to die, why not take some of them with me?
With these thoughts in his mind, Enel pulled the trident from Braham's head and turned to the other warrior, Genbo. In the next moment, he thrust the trident into Genbo's abdomen until it emerged from the other side.
Enel lifted Genbo's body suspended on the trident in the air, gazed at Genbo's pained expression, and grinned madly before slamming his body on the ground, turning his head into a pile of flesh and blood.
These attacks happened in mere seconds; Raki couldn't even react to seeing the tribe's strongest members being slaughtered like sheep, while Aisa screamed and covered her eyes in horror.
"Hahaha..." Enel laughed maniacally, seeming to have lost his mind. He glanced at Raki, who wasn't far from him. The rest of Shandia's warriors had fled in fear upon witnessing Enel's madness, so Raki was his next target.
Quickly, he moved his exhausted body towards her while holding his blood-stained trident.
*Slash!*
He struck quickly towards her; Aisa cried as she watched the trident that was about to sever Raki's head.
Raki couldn't even react; she froze in place while her brain tried to urge her to resist, but under Eneel's madness, who was exhaling his last breath, her weak resistance was futile.
Raki closed her eyes, resigned to her fate. Her only regret was Aisa; this little girl would become alone.
*Clang!*
But she heard the sound of metal clashing. She slowly opened her eyes to see a tall man with blue hair holding the trident from its blade with his hand covered in black. He smiled.
"Step back, miss," he said with a deep voice, sending a shiver down Raki's spine. It wasn't a tremor of fear; it was safety and relief... She remembered that she was saved; she wouldn't die today.
She stepped back a few steps as she looked at Ren, while Aisa was extremely happy and went to hug her, tears in her eyes.
"I'm here, Aisa, I won't go anywhere."
Ren ignored the emotional scene happening behind him and made his move.
*Boom!*
He didn't hesitate and filled his hand with his weapon, then used all his physical strength to strike Enel's chest.
*Crash!*
"Oh... cough..." Enel looked at Ren with wide eyes; fear, hatred, and anger could be seen in his expression.
Ren's hand had pierced his chest and reached his heart; Eneel knew he would die without a doubt after a minute or so.
But Ren didn't stop there; he pulled out his blood-stained hand and grabbed Versa, which was still in the form of an iron staff, and struck Eneel again.
*Boom!*
*Crack!*
The sound of bones breaking could be heard as the staff hit Enel's chest again. His chest recoiled inward, and broken bones protruded from their place.
Enel was sent flying like a broken paper airplane a few meters from his original position. He fell to the ground with a loud thud.
But this time... he didn't get up again.
"Ah..." Enel gathered all his remaining strength and let out a helpless and sad sigh.
He stared at the sky of the upper yard with blurry eyes.
Clouds began to gather on the horizon, and soon rain poured down on Enel, who was breathing his last breath.
Ren stared at this scene in silence, then approached Enel and sat in front of him. Eneel didn't react, no, he wasn't able to.
He stared at the sky as if he could recall a very old memory.
.
.
In an island in the sky called Berka, a typical scene took place in one of the narrow and hidden streets.
"Hit him harder!"
"Why don't you have wings?!"
"He must be some kind of monster!"
"Did you bring the sewage water, Roksha? Pour it on him!"
Five young children could be seen surrounding a seven-year-old boy, who had blonde hair and long pointed ears, much longer than an ordinary person's.
He suffered a brutal beating while receiving insults; he was always subjected to racism in this place.
Just because he didn't have wings like everyone else, just because he didn't have normal ears like everyone else.
The child Enel closed his eyes and cried silently while enduring the pain and the dirty fluids he was soaked in.
After a while, the children left after they got tired of beating him. Eneel left the narrow alley and was looked at with disgust by the adults.
"Go and bathe, your smell is disgusting," one of the women said, changing her path when she saw him standing in the street.
"Someone throw him somewhere!"
In no time, Enel found himself being chased away from the street.
"Dammit!" he cursed loudly, before deciding to go and clean himself in one of the rivers.
He headed to Berka Forest, and then found the great Monzõ River that spread throughout Berka and bathed in the cold water.
He gritted his teeth as he resisted the cold, removed his dirty clothes, and washed them to wear them again.
"I need to find another set of clothes," Enel sighed when he saw the state of his clothes, torn everywhere and with dirt stains that couldn't be washed out.
After cleaning himself, he didn't leave the forest. This was where he lived, after all.
He had no family; his father had died from a chronic illness when he was four, while his mother left him to go with her new husband because he asked her to.
He walked a little into the forest, seeming to have a specific destination in mind. After a few minutes, he arrived at a rundown wooden house.
"Oh! How are you, Maxim? Did you miss me?" he laughed as he looked at his pet.
"Meow~!" A meow came from the cat's mouth, indicating its longing for its owner.
Since Enel rescued this cat a year ago, it became his only family. He took care of it and provided it with food by fishing and hunting small animals like rabbits. He lived his life in the forest, so Enel naturally knew how to avoid dangerous areas.
Time passed, days turned into weeks, weeks into months and years.
.
[After 4 years]
.
13-year-old Einil looked at his cat's body, silent tears streaming down his cheeks.
"This Fucking creature deserves what happened to it. How dare it scratch my foot? I am a priest of the god!" A grown man wearing white clothes and holding a spear laughed.
The spear was still dripping blood, indicating that he was the one who caused the hole in the cat's body.
Enel carried his cat's body and left for the forest without uttering a word.
"Someday, I'll leave for Fairy Vearth, Maxim! I promise!"
He buried his cat's body, tears still flowing from his eyes.
.
[After 24 years]
.
Enel grew up and became a man, but the coldness and madness in his eyes grew stronger.
"With this, I will change everything!"
He looked at the strange yellow fruit in his hand that he found in the forest.
'It's likely that this is the Devil Fruit that grants supernatural divine abilities!' Without hesitation, he took a bite of it.
.
..
...
....
Thunder spread in the sky and struck the civilians' houses in Perkan. No one survived, whether old or young, man or woman, sick or healthy; the thunder struck everything.
The Army of God, consisting of more than 50 people, looked at this scene with wide eyes. They admired the power of their leader!
"Let's find another land!"
Enel shouted, not casting another glance at the burning Perka.
.
[Returning to the present.]
"Fairy Vearth... Maxim.."
Enel murmured weakly and quietly. He raised his hand to the cloudy sky, unaffected by the raindrops falling on the ugly wound in his chest.
Then, after a second, his arm fell as if it had lost all strength.
Enel had died.
