บท 51: The Guardian (1)

The explosion hit Alex with unbearable strength. The elf was hurled away with such might that his limbs arched to the back with the impact on his torso. As fast as the explosion had started, it stopped, making the elf collapse into the far wall.

Alex's head hit the alien metal with force, making a resonating sound of metal banging. Alex didn't lose consciousness, but his head was aching like hell. His surroundings were encapsulated by the light of the explosion, and he felt his back burning with the energy of Arcanite burning.

The young man had felt chemical burns before, and it was just like that. The burning and blazing on the skin was hard to bear, but he tried his best. Slowly, he got up, shaking his head to shove away the dizziness and looking at his surroundings.
