His fingers traced the glistening, delicate scales of the small serpent, as light as a feather's touch. "I hope you rise like a phoenix, reborn from the ashes, and grow stronger than ever before"

A soft squeal of contentment escaped the silver snake, its body quivering under the gentle caress of its father.
