Kiyoshi lay on his side, one hand clenched tightly in his lapels, the other fist digging into the plush couch cushion. His brow furrowed, forming deep creases at the bridge of his nose, and his jaw clenched so tightly his teeth pressed against the inside of his cheek.

An unsettling mixture of fear and defiance flickered in his eyes, suggesting a struggle within.

"Why are you staring at me like that?" Midori asked, oblivious about the words she just said. "If you aren't taking off your clothes, I will."

Midori took a step toward Kiyoshi, who immediately held a hand up.

"No need. I will do it myself."

Undressing was not a big deal. He was used to practicing kendo with bare upper half, anyway. There was no reason to be flustered when taking off his clothes in front of Midori, was there?
