On the way home, both were quiet. Clara lay on Mateo's shoulder, staring at his profile in a daze. She thought, not only did her husband have the most handsome side profile, but he also had the most handsome full face. It was the first time she saw Mateo in the sunlight like this, with a little fuzz on his face, looking cute.

Clara exhaled, and the little fuzz fluttered in the breeze.

Mateo chuckled, feeling thirsty. Clara was having so much fun that she didn't notice Mateo sweating. She said, "Mateo, put me down. I must be heavy."

Once they reached home, Mateo, feeling relieved, put Clara down and went inside to fetch bamboo tubes for water. He was really thirsty.
