บท 87: Shattering Glass

Shane took the phone from Laleen's hand, his face barely showing any emotion.

Bringing it to his ears, he heard Julius's voice say, "Please bring her to the hospital,"

Immediately, his eyes flickered to where Laleen stood before him like a mountain piece that was now breaking down.

She had her arms fisted tightly as she stared at the marble floor. Laleen was currently in a state of denial and it was pitiful to see.

All words left Shane's brain and he only hummed to say he understood.

"Steph…"

"He didn't deny it now, did he?"

Shane could only hum as he stared at her, not knowing what to say.

A bitter chuckle escaped her lips and she shook her head.

It was only then that she finally looked up at him, her jaws clenched in her bid to be strong.

"Let's go,"
