---September 2 1987---
Shane drank last focus potion, necessary for him to better control his hands.
Since he realized he realized he is a natural Legilimens, he managed to achieve basic control over his ability.
He discovered, that it was much different from learned Legilimency. For example to read somebody's surface thoughts you didn't neccesarily need to make eye contact, or use your wand.
When checking animals, he discovered he could even delve deeper into their minds, reading their memories.
During this time Shane not only learned and experimented but also classified, although rudimentarily strenghts in the wizarding world.
Child level was a category for students at Hogwarts, not including 7th years, and exceptional 6th years.
Adult level included exceptions from previous ones, and normal adult wizards, without anything special about them.
Exceptional Adult level was made for wizards with special jobs, usually including some risk (for example taking care of dragons, or being a cursebreaker), or ones that, being exceptional in Hogwarts carried it towards their future lives.
Auror / Dark Wizard / Adventurer / Mercenary level threat included all those specialized in fighting, but not being the best at it. It could be said that if a 5th year student could win with an ordinary 7th year student in a fight, he could grow to this level.
Top Auror / Top Dark Wizard (Usually a Death Eater) / Top Adventurer / Top Mercenary those people could easily defeat most normal adult wizards in their 5th year. They are at the top, but only bookworms, and some insiders know about them.
Master Level for example professors at Hogwarts or most loyal Death Eaters can be counted in those (some exceptional freelancers too). They are people who went beyond normal wizards in their own field, reaching a top in many others. Most of their names are well known to children, and the rest isn't just beacause they wanted to hide themselves.
Transcendental they are named like that beacause not many can take that step. Here we don't need to give examples, after all there were only a few of them like Dumbledore, First Dark Lord Grindelwald, or the second dark lord Voldemort. All of their names resounded through the world being known to most, if not all, people in their area (country, often continent). They are also suspected of achieving a Master level in many different fields.
Realizing, that his level was actually below a Child one, Shane decided to use his knowledge, to protect himself.
After a few months of preparing required runes, and testing them on cheap materials, he decided he was redy to create a masterpiece.
He locked the door, and spread a cloth on the table. It was made from moon silkworms' silk, very expensive, but durable.
As Shane readied himself, he spread open the sheet, with his design on it.
Arrays of complicated runes, that could easily give a hedache, even to aurors with some knowledge of alchemy.
For the boy however, it was very easy to understand, after all he was the one to design it.
As he repeated the runes in his mind, he took out a silver quill, and started engraving, by leaving a slowly hardening trail of Goblin Silver.
His quill was specialy designed and created with help of Declan, 'to assist in future work' as he said.
As he almost finished covering the whole cloak with exquisite runes he discovere a loophole, that would make the whole cloak heat, and maybe even blow up.
He quickly took out a second tool, made in a shape of eraser, but actually working more like a miniature furnance, heating up silver trail with precision.
Then Shane put a quill upside down on the trail, which sucked up the remaining liquid metal.
After correcting all of the mistakes, he finished the job and put a ready cloak in front of him.
'Finally done' he thought, while puting the cloak on himself.
It automaticaly adjusted itself to his body, while he looked at the notebook with cloak's suposed functions.
---Wizard's Cloak--
-Invisibility (fn. Full body invinsibility works only with a hood on ; can't work more than 20 minutes withot overheating ; needs to be recharged with magic after 5 times usage ; after reaching 20 minutes use, needs to cool down for 7 minutes)
-Protection (fn. Works only against Top auror level threats at most, blocking only three attacks. With every level down, it can block approximately ten times the amount {untested} ; Has three modes: manual, automatic, constant ; with automatic protection on it has to be recharged every few hours, otherwise there is a risk of defence being disabled ; with constant protection energy levels fall very sharply, and it has to be recharged once every two hours, or so)
-Disguise (fn. Works similar to invisibility, except for lower energy usage, and overheating speed ; cooling time remains the same)
-Glide (fn. Althought it can't be called flight, it can lighten the body of the user, achieving high jumps, and long glides ; thanks to discovering glide rune, it doesn't require as much energy, and doesn't overheat as quick, the downside being inability to use full invisibility at the same time {the body will appear hazy, but not invisible})
-Extreme Enviroment Protection (fn. Underwater the cloak can protect from water and provide user with enough oxygen for 37-46 minutes {during intense work for about 5-9 minutes depending on oxygen need} ; in event of high heat, cold or other things affecting the outside of the body, the cloak will have to be activated manualy)
-Change (It can change sizee and color {semi-permanently, since it doesn't use much energy})
-Phasing (fn. function UNTESTED, and left for future experimentations)
As Shane tried out his cloak, he discovered that even thought it could change size it couldn't change it's form too much.
'It's beacause the runes would get messed up' he realized 'Well, it can be fixed by compresing the runes on chest area, but I won't be able to do that anytime soon' he thought about his ideas.
In the next day he decided to create a metal mask for his lower face.
It proved to be more chalanging than he though, beacause of hardness of high level materials, but finally he created a black half-mask.
---Protection Mask---
-Protection (fn. It can protect the wearer from mind attacks {until low Master level}, and block surface mind probes {untested, approximately can block a transcendent person not specializing in Mind Arts} ; everything going through the mask is purified, for example food or air {can only weaken extremely toxic substances like basilisk's poison, but they will still be deadly}
-Night Vision (fn. In an area with any light, the user can see as if it was a day ; in the event of complete lack of light, the mask can shine, lighting up the surroundings)
-Transformation (fn. the mask can't turn into something completely else, but it can flexibly open, change color, size and design)
After finally finishing what he wanted to create, Shane focused on researching a signal base for the new magical mirrors.
Even with his genius intelect, the boy couldn't create it in a short time.
Still, he already had some ideas, and planned on discussing a prototype with Declan in about half a year.
---
As Kyle laid down on the grass blissfully thinking about all the fun he will have after going to school with his master, he heard a cheerful voice "Kyle let's go to the forest!"
"Mom told you to not leave the garden" said the boy, acting as if he wanted to resist Emily's pool.
Of course as a magical creature, he coul beat up adult wizards easily, not counting magic of course, but now he wanted to go play with the girl, and he managed to do so, while having a perfect excuse, if miss Olivia complained to his master.
As they walked through the forest, Emilia called out "You know Kyle, I am going to school next year, won't you get bored by yourself" she asked while spinning.
During the time Shane was away, Kyle became much more steady. He stopped jumping around like a child on sugar rush, and loved lazying on the grass, observing the clouds.
It wasn't like he completely quieted down, no he was still very energetic, but just stopped giving of an aura of unstoppable force, and became more gentle and considerate.
"Are you sure you don't mean that you will be bored without me" said Kyle with amusement in his voice.
"N-no way, everybody wants to make friends with me" rebuked Emily surprisingly quickly.
Kyle looked at her with a happy smile and said "Don't worry, I will ask master whether we can go to school a year or two earlier"
"But how would that happen" asked Emily while wrinkling her nose "Isn't everyone invited to school by letters?"
"I heard master talking about a revolutionary thing he started to develop" said Kyle in a mysterious tone "And he can write to school that he will go to different one, if the don't allow him to do whatever he wants"
"Did Shane tell you that?" asked Emily excitedly.
"I can sometimes pick up some of my master's thoughts during sleep, while he works" said Kyle in a whisper "Don't tell anyone, well except for the master of course. I was planning to tell him anyway"
"So are you now smart like Shane?" asked Emily with shining eyes.
"Unfortunately it doesn't work like that. I can only pick up some ideas and plans" He asid chuckling "But, I can also feel a complete serenity without any emotions. Now it feels scary, but then it was a very peaceful feeling. I didn't feel need for anything, nor any rush"
"Is that why you are so quiet?" asked Emilia with curiosity, interupted however by a loud bang.
Shane stopped in his tracks, seeing a hunter near a corpse of a deer.
"Quick, run!" he whispered loudly to Emilia, seeing a dangerous muggle weapon.
Emily hesistated a little, but after Kyle pushed her she run in the direction of home to bring help.
The man turned around hearing the noise.
He glared at the boy with a vicious stare, and raised the gun.
Just as Kyle was ready to turn into his Valrawn form, the hunter threw the strap of his shotgun over his shoulder.
"What are you doing here kiddo?" he asked with a serious face, while binding the deer's legs to a stick "Go back home, or another person will take you for an animal" he smiled and walked away with a smile on his face.
As he leaned against a tree to relax his tensed emotions, he remembered that Emily went for help.
He quickly started running towards the house.
As he was getting close to the garden, he almost run into Shane.
"Master, master" he exhaled.
"What happened, why did Emily say you are in danger?
"We met a muggle with their weapon, and I thought he was dangerous, but he just smiled and walked away" said Kyle embarassed about the misunderstanding.
"Don't worry, it was the right thing to do" said Shane "If it was somebody dangerous, Emily might have been hurt or killed"
As they spoke, from behind came worried Emily, together with Olivia and Garrick.
As Kyle explained the misunderstanding, they decided, that Emily can't go out to the forrest alone.
No matter how much she cried, or rebelled, they didn't want to change their decision.
At the end, Emily pouted and pulled Kyle back to her room.
Shane then returned to his new task, that is learning the law.
After creating the cloak, and the mask, he decided he had enough protection for now, and he doesn't need any strenghtening, since he won't fight anytime soon.
He also manager to create blueprint for the prototypem of magic communication station.
After he thought for a while, he decided his lack of any knowledge about how patents work, can greatly impact his plans, so he went out of his way, to learn the law.
Not only the part about the ownership of his creation but all of them, as it might be useful in the future.
Although it took him a few weeks, it enlightened him very much.
He discovered, that there was no age limits for patents, but they were only valid for a few years.
That meant, that he couldn't just randomly release the blueprints, after all if nobody knew them, he would still hold monopoly, even after patent expired.
He also checked that to get a patent, you only needed to show how the machine is working.
Fortunately this also helps him with his plans since you can never truly trust the ministry with Umbridge and Fudge at the helm.
Shane realized, that this ław was probably created for purebloods, who didn't want to share their secret blueprints.
After Shane finished correcting the machine, he looked at the sun and decided to go to sleep, and tommorow go and start crafting the prototype of revolutionary device.
