"You won't be able to see if the blood gets in your eyes though," I told him. I remembered the dress material I had cut off earlier and put away in a pocket. I took it out.
"At least, let me cover the wound so the blood doesn't blind you," I tried to reason with him.
Aldric looked like wanted to argue with me at first but then after a moment decided against it.
I got him to lower his head and I wrapped the cloth around his head. He didn't appear to be injured anywhere else. It was just that scratch on his forehead. Considering the mutilated bodies of David and the other men it was hard to believe that this was the only injury he'd obtained. He was basically unscathed.
"Let's head to the Avon estate," Aldric said to me afterward. "A group of Imperial knights will be here soon to clean this up and investigate. I left ahead of them to save time and quickly find you," He explained.
